It is shown when your happy
When your baby girl took her first steps
When your boy finally threw his first ball
When you caught the biggest fish
You have ever had
When your wife finally had that miracle baby
But how come two words
That are synonyms be so different?
Being proud was what you felt
When you finally made your family happy
But don't let it get to you
Because proud can lead to pride
It can leave you with nothing
But despair and regrets
It can leave a wall between your loved ones
You will scar everything you touch
It can leave those you love the most
Waiting for nothing
But what do you do
When you don't have pride
They say be humble
But what is humble
How do you become humble
When all you knew was to care for yourself
It is when your greatest downfall has come
When your left with nothing
When all you hold onto is
The little bit of life you have left
Your pride is torn apart
But there are still pieces of it you kept
But is it too bad
Too keep my pride
Will it harm me
Can I keep my pride because
It is all I have left
Can I not be proud of having pride
