Things forgotten
Are better forgotten
Cause when remembered
Can bring a nightmare
No, a reality that was too true
A tear of questions
That can never be answered
A life of what if's
And regrets of the past
It leaves you restless
Twisting and turning
In a bed that is a monster
Keeping you from closing your eyes
Too scared of the dead
Coming back to life
Numbing your soul
Icing you heart
Freezing you to place
With nothing but
Feeling every bit upset
But it doesn't leave you with just that
It will always come back
Even when you caught love in your net
When you're at your happiest moment
It comes to hack
Your brain and nerves
All your edges and curves
And it won't ever go away
Be happy when it fades
Cause at least then
Pain can be lessened
