Camila's POV
___________________________________________________________________________
As I had a staring contest with the lake, small raindrops fell on my face so I looked up and it started pouring down. Although my clothes were all dripping wet since I didn't bring an umbrella with me, I thanked myself for choosing a waterproof backpack.
I stood up and starting speed walking up the small lane and onto the main street. I didn't run because I thought about the probability of me slipping in the mud and dying. Even though dying does not sound that bad at all right now.
I finally reached the street and began to look around for a small shelter or anything that can possibly keep one person safe and dry for a while. To my right I saw a little store but it didn't have any roof at the front so I turned to my left. There was another store but thankfully this one has a small roof. I quickly ran towards it with my bag on top of my head.
The store's roof seemed like it would be able to handle this pouring rain. I began to run my hands over my clothing in hopes that it would dry a bit but that didn't work at all.
'HELP! HELP ME PLEASE'
I heard a scream. I wasn't sure if I was hallucinating or if it was real so I listened carefully again.
'Please can anyone hear me? Please help me!'
Yup. I am not hallucinating. I moved around quickly to follow the direction of the scream. It was from a small alleyway behind the store.
I sprinted down the alleyway and found the source of the scream. Lauren Jauregui.
