Camila's POV
_______________________________________________
Loud footsteps made their way down the stairs. Brad and some other people that were following him grinned mischievously at me. A familiar face. Lauren? What's Lauren doing with them? I stared at Lauren and saw Brad's arm was on her shoulders. I was worried as to what they would do with her.
"Well, well, well. If it isn't the rat who ran away from me." Brad laughed.
I wasn't interested in what he has to say, I have better things to be concerned about right now.
Lauren hang her head low. She wasn't able to look me in the eyes. In fact, her face turned towards everything but on me. Is there something I should know?
Brad probably read my mind and pulled her closely to him. She stopped right in front of me.
"Fun fact. Did you actually know that Lauren was the one who lead us to you? Isn't that true?", Brad had a disgusting smile on his face.
I faced Lauren and listened carefully to what she was about to say. She had an unreadable expression but her perfectly sculpted lips slowly curved into a smile and she started to laugh.
I just stared at her. I needed answers.
"I'm sorry," Lauren stopped laughing, "I just couldn't believe that you actually thought that, for a second, you helped me. Did you thought that it would make me swoon over you if you helped me? Wait, did you also believed that I was on your side? Oh..Camila. You are so naive." Lauren tapped on my cheeks as she said that to me.
My glass heart began to crumble into pieces once again. It probably wouldn't hurt if the words were from someone else, but hearing it from her? Damn. It hurts.
