After walking into the police headquarters and going to her desk Ellie feels alone. Everyone is staring at her and she doesn't know what to do. Alec sees she is struggling and invites her in to his office. "Sit" He says. "Ellie, you need to go home, it's not a good working environment for you here at this time. We are still piecing together what has happened". Ellie replys with frustration "Sir, I am a detective on this case. I tried to find the killer. You can't just tell me to go home. I don't want to leave. Tom and my sister are at home not speaking to anyone. How can I possibly cope with that?!" Alec gives her the stare he always does, The stare that suggests that he is boss and no one messes with him. "Sorry sir" Ellie says. "Its alright" Alec replys. "Look Ellie, would you like to come back to my room for a drink? At least that way you will be talking to someone". Ellie accepts the offer. They both leave the office. Alec switching the light off to his office and hoping to not have any more shock announcemounts to make in the further days to come.
