The next day arrives. Ellie wakes up, still in her clothes from the previous night. Her hotel room feels more empty than ever. Joe and Tom should be there except they aren't. Joes in a prison cell and Tom is all alone in the big wide world. At least that's what Ellie thinks.
Toms POV:
"Here you are" she says. The breakfast that I had was delicious. Bacon, Eggs, Toast, Sausages and Potatoes. That's just how I like it. "I think I should leave soon, It will be for the best." I say. "I agree." She replys.
Ellie leaves her hotel room to go to visit Alec in hospital. She gets into her black holden hatchback and drives off, down the high street where the town of Broadchurch are still coming to terms with what has happened in the past 24 hours. Ellie gets the odd look while driving. The look as if to say "I bet she knew. What a traitor." After what seems a long drive she arrives at the hospital. She enters through the main doors. She makes her way to the reception. "Alec Hardy." She says to the women at the desk. "Ward 5", the women replys. Ellie takes the lift up 5 levels and arrives to be greeted by Alec standing right outside the lift. "Ah what are you doing?" She shouts. "Quiet Miller." He says. He drags her back into the lift. "Can I just ask you one thing sir. Were the hell do you think you're going?" She says. "Where do you think?" He replys. "I never know with you." Replys Ellie. Alec gives her the death stare that he always does. "You can't just leave the hospital." She says "I can if I want too". He replys. "Have you found him?" The tone of the conversation becomes more serious. "No" she says shamefully. The lift stops on the ground floor. Alec walks out of the lift like there is no tomorrow. Ellie follows him and asks "Sir, have you actually told anyone that your leaving?" "Why should I do that?" He replys. "Its called manners." She says. Alec walks out of the hospital cool, calm and collectively. They walk to the car "What are the updates Miller?" He says. Ellie feels like she has no choice but to carry on talking "Well we went back to Briar Cliff and found Paul Coates, we asked him" Hardy interrupts her by saying "Paul Coates? What was he doing up on Briar Cliff around that time" "I was just getting to that." She replies frustrated. "We asked him questions, he said he was Becca Fisher most of the night." "Did you check with her?" He asks bluntly. Ellie then remembers that she forgot to ask Becca. "No" she says guiltily. "What!?" He shouts. "Oh for gods sakes Miller, what's got into you lately." Miller can tell he's angry. "Sorry sir! But in case you haven't noticed I never knew my husband was a muderer and I've spent the whole night looking for my son that's missing. I think I have fairness to say that I just forgot to check with Becca." She shouts. "Sorry." says Alec. "You should be" she muters under her breath. They arrive at the car. Ellie unlocks the car with the remote key. They both climb in. She starts the ignition and they're drive off. Alec is hoping never to come here again.
"Thank you for everything." Tom says. "That's Ok." She replys. "I might be back sometime. Goodbye." He gives her a smile, shuts the door and skates off into the scorching hot sun.
