Ellie and Alec arrive at the church. She and him both get out of the car and start walking. "Let me do the talking." He says. She looks at him angrily, but says nothing because she knows that it will only cause an argument. They enter to find Paul Coates praying on the alter. " Lord, I ask you to bring peace to the town of Broadchurch. I also ask that you bring hope to those who are suffering. Amen". He turns around and is stunned to see D.I. Hardy and D.S. Miller staring back at him.

Tom walks to the end of the high street. He gets on his skateboard and heads towards his hotel. He wishes he was staying at The Traders, it's nicer there. Instead him and his mum are put in a hotel that nobody hardly stays in. He finally arrives, hops off his board and enters the lobby. He makes his way to the reception to get the key for the room. "Could I please have the key to room 10" he asks politely. "Sure" replys the man behind the counter. The man grabs the key from the wall and gives it to Tom. "Thanks" He says.

Tom walks up the stairs to his room. This hotel has no lift much to his disgust. He arrives at the door "Finally!" He says to himself. He opens the door and finds no one inside which is surprising to him because he thought his mum would be there. He sits on the bed and switches on the TV. There isn't much on at this time partly due to the fact that's its 12:30 in the afternoon, he finds a show about dogs and has no choice but to watch it. He wishes he had a dog. Everytime he sees a dog in the street he asks his mum if he could get one except the answer is always the same "No".
