The next morning, I was greeted by Alex.

"Here you go." He handed me a cup of green tea. I couldn't drink it. I felt terrible. How could he act so calm when his brother is gone.

"Alex, I know about Pierce." I placed the mug down, and heard a shatter in the kitchen. I ran over to him. "Alex, you ok?"

He stared at the wall, not minding the spilled tea and glass on the ground, "I'm fine. You-- you shouldn't have followed me."

"I'm sorry, but what happened."

He sat down, looking off behind me, "Drunk driver. I was-- I was lucky to be alive. We were driving from my niece's birthday, late at night. Laughing and singing random tunes, when all of a sudden a drunk driver swerved into our lane and hit us. Pierce quickly jumped to cover, but I don't remember the rest. I do remember waking up to my mom crying and telling me Pierce died. My dad was yelling at me about how it should've been me. At his funeral, everyone frowned at me. I promised myself to never drink and drive."

"Alex, I'm sorry."

"Not your fault." He blankly said.

(This hurt me so much. I'm watching Denis right now too, soooooooo)
