A Day Before Christmas

I was tired. I groggily walked over to the kitchen, and filled up the kettle with water. I sat down on the sofa, and watched some Sponge Bob. What can I say? I'm a 20 year old man who doesn't have a job, and watches Sponge Bob. Sue me. Actually, please don't.

Alex soon joined me. He grabbed a blanket, and wrapped us with it. I felt his head resting on my shoulder as we watched. He heard the kettle go off, and got up. I felt a shiver when I didn't feel his warm body beside me.

When Ethan and Amie woke up, my eyes were still glued to the screen. Alex sat down, and handed me my mug.

"You guys want anything?" Alex asked the couple.

"I'm good." Amie sat down on a chair, propping her chin with her hand. Ethan waved it off and sat at the computer desk with a laptop. Alex's back was against mine as we sipped at our hot teas. This time I got a peppermint tea.

I looked at the Christmas tree, standing by the TV, presents sitting at the bottom. I'm just too excited because tomorrow is Christmas.

(I'm sick, so this is what I could scavenge.)
