Rainy Days

It's been about a week since I last saw Denis. I woke up, and heard rain outside. I checked the time: 2:43 AM. I rubbed my face, and went to the kitchen. In the living room, Alex was holding a guitar played a few chords. I passed behind him, not making a peep, yet he still heard me.

"Elijah, you know you can't sneak up on me."

I sighed, "No, no I cannot."

He got up, with the guitar still in hand, "you hungry? I got the kettle on."

"Some of your infamous Black Tea would be perfect."

"Coming right up." He smiled, "Sugar and cream?"

"Yes, please."

He placed the guitar down, and he walked into the kitchen. I picked up the instrument.

"You play?" I asked.

"Well, not anymore. I'm a pretty terrible singer anyway." He said while getting down the mugs.

A crackle of thunder was heard. I always hated rain. Loud, but at least it gave me an excuse to stay indoors.

"Can you sing something for me?"

He paused, then out of nowhere he starts singing "Let It Go." God, he may have an adorkable British accent, but he can't sing. I start to laugh. He soon joins me in laughter.

"I told you." He says between giggles.

I then had a funny idea. I picked up the guitar, and strummed a chord, "This is called: My Life so Far." I cleared my throat, then screamed. Alex was on the floor now. Laughing like a maniac. He got up, and finished making the tea, giggling every now and then.

"Here you are." He handed me the cup, our fingertips brushing against each other. I looked up at him, staring into his soft, green/ orange eyes.

"Spiderman PS4?" He smirked.

"You know it."

(I know this song is so old, but I love how it fits. By 2019 Fall, I'm planning on completing this book, but I won't keep my promises.)
