Your POV

I was in class, lazily looking at the board as the teacher was teaching. My eyes half open,

I didn't got much sleep last night, I was too focused on studying for our chemistry quiz.

While the teacher was teaching, the speaker in the classroom interrupted the lesson, making me awake,

"Attention students! This is the principal and i'd like to inform you all that we will be having a masquerade party to celebrate this school's 15th anniversary. You can come alone, with dates, or in a group. I would be expecting that everyone will come. The party will be held on the school's huge garden next week, friday. That's all!" Was what came out of the speaker,

"What? A masquerade party?!"

"This is gonne be amazing!!"

The students kept whispering to each other about the sudden announcement.

"Alright class, Shush! You can all talk about the party once that class is dismissed. For now, we shall resume our lesson."

【Time Skip, dismissal.】

I went out the school gates, only to be greeted by a smiling Jackson.

"Hi Jackson!" I said as I smiled and waves at him,

"Hi!!"

"Are you waiting for someone?" I asked,

"Yup! I was waiting for you!" He said,

"Me?"

"Yes, I wanna walk you home!" He said,

"Oh, Okay then!" I said and we started walking our way home,

"Oh I was wondering...." Jackson said,

"What is it?"

"Well...I was wondering if you would want to be my date at the Masquerade party..." Jackson said, the last words turned into a mumble but it was clear enough for me to hear,

"Y-You want me as y-your date on the m-masquerade party..?" I said, stuttering.

"I-I mean if you don't w-want to then it's fine.." He said,

I shook my head, "Oh no no I'd love to!!" I said and saw his face beam up,

"Really?" He said and I nodded,

"Yay!!" He said enthusiastically.
