Just a Simple Fairytale

Chapter 5~ It must be love.

Our new companion ,Allison, lead us though the forest until we reached a stream.

"You can rest here for the night." she told us.

"Hey. This is the stream I found earlier." Samuel gleefully replied.

"I guess you weren't lying then, but you definitely had us going in the wrong direction." I snorted out.

Samuel frowned and I immediately felt bad for saying that. I looked up to find Allison smiling at me. I gave her a puzzled look and she just motioned me to follow her.

"Yvette is coming with me to get cleaned up." She announced.

"Ok." Samuel said still a bit disappointed.

She started to walk away then looked at me and whispered

"Come on."

I followed her into the brush and we walked a little way until she stopped.

"You love him." She said with a smile.

"What?!." I was flabbergasted. How could she think this? I've known him for years. I-I couldn't love him.

"That's ridiculous, I don't love Samuel."

"Oh, but you do. I've only been watching you for a day and I can already see that you love him."

"How could you possibly think that. If anything he's an annoying thorn in my side." I retorted.

"Don't fret Yvette. He loves you too."

I shut up when I heard that. He loved me. I felt warm and fuzzy knowing that but, I didn't know why. Maybe I did feel something for Samuel. I wouldn't call it love though, it was friendship. That's what I felt definitely.

"I knew it was true. Apparently you love him more than I thought. You should see the way he looks at you. It's adorable."

While she was droning on I was thinking, thinking about Samuel and love.
