I looked at the few scars on my stomach in the mirror and I couldn't even wear a crop top without feeling self conscious.
I look so disgusting
I took it off and grabbed on of Jahseh shirts he left over here before and tied up my Afro.
"Jahseh?" I yell. There was no answer.
"Jah..?" I called out once more, I started to worry and I go into the small living room I owned revealing X passed out on the sofa.
I smile at him. Who ever thought we would become this far.
I lay down on top of him and fall fast asleep.

"His name is Dontai" the nun told us.
I watched as Jahseh got on his knees and looked at the other small boy
He looked back at me and nodded.
"We'll take him"

"Welcome to your new home Dontai!" I Said showing him around. His little arms wrapped around me as he got scared of the dog that was barking and happy to see us.
"I'll put him away for you bud" Jahseh said taking his dog to the other room. Dontai was only 2 years old and we just got him from the adoption center and I really couldn't be happier.
I took Dontai to his room and sat him down. He immediately went for the toys that were in the corner of his room, I smile brightly and this is just all I could honestly ever ask for
I feel X's strong arms wrap around me and I see smile just as much, he kissed my cheek and we both watched our new son.
I had everything I ever wanted. I got famous, I have a beautiful boyfriend and the best son I could ever have.
I sat down with Dontai and started building toy blocks with him which he had a bright smile on his face that I had to smile back at him

"I love you" I heard X said under me
"Huh?"
"I said I love you" He said flipping through channels
"I love you too.." I trailed off. I sat up giving him some room to breathe
"Jah"
"Yes"
"I think I want to adopt" I say with a little hesitation
He just looks at me like I'm crazy.
"What did you say?" I gulp " I said I wanted to adopt! I want to adopt a African American baby boy" I say clearly with out making eye contact
He suddenly realized i wasn't joking, he began to set up. He grabbed and held my hands causing me to look at him
"Listen" he sighed "I think we need baby steps Jaylynn, we haven't even moved in with eachother yet" he was right, baby steps could be the answer but I'm not getting any younger, he's 20 I'm 19
"Well it's move in together"
"Jay..baby..it's not that easy, you need to give it some thought" he said trying not to sound harsh but..I know it sounds like I'm rushing it too just have a baby, but I do love Jah , and I'm ready to move in with him I just feel like I need to take baby steps about adopting
"Jahseh, I've been ready to move in with you" I said truthfully "I would like to adopt but we both are really young" he put his hand over his heart
"Thank god" he breathed out dramatically
"Are you not ready to move in with eachother..?" He shakes his head. "no..I don't think I am" he said I just nodded
"All we need is time" He kissed my hand.
