I know I said the end of the month and it's December now but at least it's here. And wouldn't it still be the end of the month anyway if you think about it? Anyway enjoy.
Your POV
Momma!"
My son yelled from the entrance of the house. He ran to me and jumped into my arms, peppering my face with little kisses.
"Aww did you miss me my little Agapi?" I asked as I set him down after giving him a big kiss on the cheek. I fixed his clothes and he gave me the biggest smile I've ever seen.
"I really did Momma. Me and Imani made lunch with Mommy and it was really good. It made her sing and dance in the kitchen." He beamed as he clapped his hands wildly.
"Oh yeah? What did you guys make?" I asked as I grabbed his hand, walking with him into the house.
"Grilled ham and cheese."
"Mmm sounds tasty."
We walked inside and I closed the door behind me. I heard Imani and Kehlani laughing from the kitchen and I walked in to find Kehlani tickling Imani while she struggled to breathe on the floor. Kehlani had a wide smile on her face. She looked up at me and her smile got impossibly big.
"My baby is home!" she sang as she walked up to me and pulled me in for a long kiss. "How was work love?"
I nodded and smiled. "Pretty busy but I can actually say it was fun today." I got a job as a real estate agent. We moved to Colorado after Imani turned 8. Agapi was already three at this point so this gave us enough time to finish school and figure out what we want to do with our lives. It was hard especially since we were leaving our parents but we promised to visit often. We chose Colorado because it's a great place to raise a child and my job is doing me some good. I started off making $9.52 an hour. Now, I'm making $67.74 an hour. I couldn't be happier. Kehlani is an architect since she loves drawing so much. She's designed a couple buildings that defy every type of science there is. They've been built all around the world so she's making a name for herself.
"That's great babe. I'm glad you had fun. These children sure know how to wear a woman out." She rested her head on my shoulder and I smiled, giving her forehead a quick kiss.
"Well if you want to go lay down, you can babe. I'll watch the kids." I told her as I rubbed her back. She shook her head.
"As tempting as that sounds, I'll pass. I wanna spend more time with you." She pulled me into a side hug and pressed her face into my neck. I picked her up and carried her to the couch. I sat down and sat her on my lap.
"Tell me about your day my queen." I say as I push a few strands of hair out of her face. She gave me a smile and laid back down on my chest. "Well a couple minutes after you left, Agapi came running in our room and jumped on me so I had no choice but to wake up. I swear you need to take these kids back to where they came from. I told you to leave them at the hospital but noooo. You just had to bring them home." She chuckled after her sentence. I smirked and cleared my throat.
"Hmm. That's funny because I believe you were the one who was in tears when they were born like 'Oh he is so cute!' and 'Oh my god I'm a mom!' and "We are never getting rid of these kids.' You're so full of it." I laugh and turn the TV on. Imani comes running in the living room and gives me and Lani a huge smile.
