Chapter 5

Writing let's the stress leave me and I'm super stressed so like............hey again~

Jamie P.O.V

I walk into the shower and wash away the dirt on my face. I've always wanted an all natural facial mask anyways I kid to myself. I wash my hair and lather it in my strawberry banana shampoo. I rinse it out and grab a towel and wrap the towel around my waist. I rarely do it unless I know I'm alone since I want to cover all of me. I get dressed quickly into a pair of jeans and a loose white Tee before walking out and full on running into a wall. Not a wall, it was just Zander's chest, I could have sworn that man's chest was soft a couple of hours ago when we "embraced." He placed his hands on me and tightened his grip as he threw me over his shoulder. He walked all the way back to my bed and let me plop down. I went to crawl away but caught onto my ankle and pulled me back to him.

I didn't want to look at him or his eyes as he started to calmly say, "What you did can't be condoned. He's not entirely wrong and I don't expect you to know that since you've been living here." He really wanted to pick a fight? Right now? With me?

"No, I was right and don't try and convince me otherwise. Your little crew are total creeps and I especially don't want a mate who's fine with such behavior. I don't care if we're 'below' or 'inferior.' It doesn't mean people like you or them get the right to tear us apart until there's nothing left. If you thought you were going to get a 'Yes sir' as a mate you better think twice and hope you're wrong about me being it," I ripped my ankle away from him and hugged my knees loosely. I didn't want to believe this was an actual fight we were having and the fact I'm in trouble for defending Cindy.

"I went to talk to them and asked them about what happened. They all said nothing really happened other than him being flirtatious. I would like to believe my crew over your babied pack. Anyways, they know I don't tolerate Omega abuse especially in my pack so I'm pretty sure it was just a misunderstanding. Next time talk to me about it first instead of going into a fight because next time you'll be punished if you do it," His words seemed foreign to me since I know my pack would never lie but he seems so convinced his crew wouldn't either. I really didn't want to go, I didn't want to be around him or his crew.

Suddenly there was a hand brushing my face and I realized it was his. I wanted to pull away but it felt warm and comfortable as he swept away my tears I didn't even know was there.

"Look...he will be punished mostly for what he did to you. I can promise that, okay?" He spoke in a soft tone as I quickly nodded trying not to cry some more.

From me crying so much, I ended up pretty sleepy but I only had a few days to spend with the pack I've known for years so I didn't want to miss it with sleeping. I stood from the bed keeping quiet as I just left to go back to my own pack. The moment I stepped outside I got bulldozed with River jumping on me. He wrapped his arms around me so tightly I didn't think I would be able to breathe properly for the next 10 years.

"I'm happy you're okay! You look alive, I heard what happened, you aren't really going to go with them right? Right? Because they aren't nice and I'm not there so you won't get my famous pancakes," River went on a ramble and every word he said looked like he was going to burst into tears. I hugged him softly and got him off of me because a boy needs to breathe!

"I do have to leave with them...but I promise you I will be back. I don't know when or even how but I will be back. He isn't so bad but his crew is horrible River. I don't even think he knows or maybe he does...," the thought of him knowing what happens behind closed doors and letting it continue made me genuinely shiver but I casted the thought away rather quick, "I have only a few days left in the pack and I want to make it worth while. I'm sorry River, I really am."

River sniffled roughly, "H-How am I going to tolerate Jason? And make fun of him without you?"

"That's a hard one," I laughed delicately since I really didn't know an answer. Abruptly, Zander came out and coughed to notify he was there as my laughing quieted down. River gave him a dark glare and stood in front of me once again. Zander inches closer and does so slowly not to provoke River, "Hey, I think we got off on the wrong foot earlier."

"We didn't, you did what you did and I'm doing what I have to do. Can't you just leave us alone and find another mate? Jamie deserves us not some Alpha who can barely protect others," River spat the words out with a snarl. Zander visibly got angry at River's words but seemed to melt it away.

"I can't just find another mate when I know he is my mate. I'm sorry that I had to be violent towards your pack and he is not staying here. It's the end of the story. Here," Zander pulls out a phone and gives it to River, "I have multiple since you never know when a burner or a new one would come in handy. You two can keep in contact and I won't prevent that."

River grasped onto the phone and looked it over, "I still don't want to give him over but this is better than nothing..."

I slightly smiled at the fact we'll be able to keep in contact and Zander gave him a phone to do so.

"We're going to keep celebrating the new mates although your crew isn't invited, you can come but that's if you can behave," River talked as if he was in power which was cute because we both know we're not anything compared to Zander. Zander chuckled at River's tone and nodded in agreement, "Want to shake on it?"

River stuck out his small hand as Zander grabbed onto it and shook it tenderly. I can't wait until the celebration to continue, I didn't imagine it would be with a mate who wasn't Max, my mate who was an illegal, violent, and dangerous man.
