The party was in full swing. Everyone was laughing, eating, and making jokes. Eva herself seemed even brighter than anyone had ever seen. Not even her father could tell her to step away from the Ramirez boy. After all, he wanted his daughter to be happy as well.
Eva had walked to the table where they had her cake with the number 18 on it. It was covered in a pretty green to lime green frosting. The whole cake had huge sun flower patterns in frosting around the cake. Sun flowers because they were her favorite flowers. She couldn’t stand those clichés flowers like roses, tulips, daisies, and so on.
Just as Eva had walked to the table with the cutting knife in hand, Romeo on her right and Sofia on her left, the door bell rung. Everyone who had a camera running for video footage growled.
Eva looked to her father who looked to Tabitha. They all shrugged as if to say, ‘I didn’t invite anyone else…’.
Somewhere deep inside Eva, she had a sinking feeling something or someone unwanted was at the door.
Blaine, her father, walked to the door. Before Eva could even walk to the door, her father was yelling at the occupant to get out.
Tabitha walked to the door, and Eva heard Tabitha’s voice rising as well.
Eva automatically knew who it was.
Only one person could actually get a rise out of both Tabitha and her father that much.
Eva didn’t even have to walk to the door. The sound of heels meeting the floor alerted her who exactly was there.
Eva left her face emotionless as the one woman who took her trust and broke it into a million pieces stood there in front of her with a big smile on her face. In her hand was an object wrapped in purple wrapping paper.
“Eva darling. I know we got off on the wrong foot a few weeks ago-”
Eva scoffed, “Oh yeah? Please enlighten me on how it went. Because all I remember if fainting shortly after you insulted my family."
Everyone stood by the walls watching the identical women go at each other’s throat.
Eva glared at the woman before her. She had some nerve. To show up on her birthday like she belonged there. It was Eva’s 18thbirthday. She shouldn’t have to deal with all this drama. Especially mama drama.
The woman in particular smirked at Eva nonchalantly. She had decided to go for a more subtle look. Skinny jeans, an oversized grey t-shirt with Betty-Boo on it, her hair was up in an extravagant up-do and her feet were adorning simple ankle boot stilettos.
She looked smug, and Eva wanted to beat that smug look off her face. Obviously after she pounded her, grinded the present in her face, and kicked her a couple times with her own shoes.
Yup, to Eva that sounded ideal.
She was even smirking at the thought. To everyone else, it looked completely sinister. They all knew that look well and had backed up a few more feet.
