Lukas snuck his boyfriend into his room through the window; first semester exams were coming up and his mum wanted him to study. Keeley was down stairs watching a movie with their parents and promised Lukas that she'd warn him if they were coming up. He'd set up his bed with his laptop and school things so that Isaac could hide and he could switch  to make it look like he was studying if Keeley texted. Isaac's pant-leg got hooked on a nail in the tree platform and he stumbled and yelped.

"Shh, do you want to get us caught?" Lukas scolded, laughing.
"Help!" Isaac whispered harshly.
Lukas helped Isaac through the window and kissed him softly.
"What do you want to do today?" Lukas asked.
"This," Isaac responded, kissing Lukas's neck, "and this," kissing the other side, "and this", he said finally, planting his lips on the other boy's.
"Ugh, gross, you sap."
"Well if you want we could do something a little less cheesy?" It was more of a question than a statement.
"Hmm..." Lukas wrapped his arms around Isaac's neck, connecting them at the back, "What did you have in mind?"
Isaac wrapped his arms around Lukas's waist and walked forward, backing Lukas up until his legs hit the bed and he fell backwards, Isaac landing on top of him. Lukas gasped under Isaac's weight and Isaac began kissing along his boyfriend's jaw.
"We should stop." Lukas breathed.
"Or we could keep going, what do you want to do?" Isaac asked. "We don't have to stop unless you actually want to."
"I don't want to stop," he paused, "but I don't know how much I'm willing to do."
"Then tell me when its too much, tell me when to back off."
Lukas nodded. Isaac stood up, pulling his shirt off and Lukas sat up hurriedly, watching the boy in front of him in awe before meeting his lips again.
"Is this okay?" Isaac asked, putting his hands under Lukas's shirt, as if to ask for permission to remove it.
"God, yes." Lukas breathed the words.
"Wait, wait, I'm sorry." Lukas sat up and put his head in his hands.
"What's wrong?"
"I don't know, I've just never done this before. Have you?"
"Not really; its okay, we can stop here, do something else."
"Yeah, that'd be good; um... can I ask what you mean by 'not really'?"
"I mean," Isaac said, steadily, "Not really; I've never gotten further than this point before."
"So you've done this part before?"
"Well, yeah kinda. But I didn't actually like them, not like I like you."
"So, what? We haven't done anything that you haven't done with some guy you didn't even like" Lukas was starting to get angry and he didn't even know why, it wasn't unreasonable for Isaac to have done anything.
"No, this is different!" Isaac was trying to be reassuring but it just came out as loud.
"Shh, keep your voice down." Lukas softened his voice, "I'm sorry. I like you, a lot and I just want to know you feel the same about me."
"I do, I like you, more than I've ever liked anyone."
Lukas leaned in and kissed Isaac, pushing him back down onto the bed and straddling his hips. 'Ding', his phone had gone off, Keeley. But before he could move his door opened and his dad walked in.
"Woah, sorry boys," John exclaimed, shielding his eyes from the half naked boys and turning around to leave.
Lukas scrambled to get up and put his shirt back on and Isaac followed in haste as well, confused as to why Lukas was so panicked.
"I'm sorry, you have to go, I'll talk to you later."
"Okay," Isaac raised an eyebrow, climbing out the window again, "see ya?"

Lukas found his dad in the bathroom washing his hands.
"Dad?"
"Oh, hey. Sorry for not knocking earlier, where's Isaac? Will you apologise to him for me."
Lukas stared at his dad, mouth opening and closing without any sound breaching his lips.
"You okay, bud?" John questioned, concern evident in his voice.
"Y-yeah, sorry," Lukas shook his head to help clear it, "you don't mind?"
"I do a bit actually, you lied to us about doing homework as well as disobeying a direct instruction to study for exams; you also never asked permission for Isaac to come over, and you can't tell me you were studying together because you obviously weren't but I'm not going to punish you or tell your mum so its fine."
"That's not what I meant, actually." Lukas fiddled with his left collar as he spoke, something he'd always done whenever he was nervous.
"Oh!" John exclaimed, his face morphing into one of pity, "Oh kid, no! I don't mind at all, I'm sorry if I've never let you know how I felt about that kind of thing. I promise, I love you no matter what and you being gay doesn't change anything."
John wrapped his arms around his son and held his head to his chest. Lukas inhaled a sharp, shaky breath and hugged his father back.
As he left the bathroom Lukas turned back to his dad, "Dad? Please don't tell Mum."
"I won't, but I think you should, at some point."
"I will... at some point."

Lukas stared at the ceiling and replayed the events that had taken place earlier that day over and over in his head for the next hour, along with scenarios of how else it could have gone. The door squeaked open and Lukas decided he needn't worry that his father had changed his mind and had come to yell at him because surely John would have learned his lesson about knocking after last time. He pushed himself up into a sitting position and saw Keeley flopping onto the foot of his bed just in time to move his feet.
"What happened earlier?" He asked, feigning disappointment.
"What are you on about now?"
"You texted too late, Dad caught Isaac and I."
"Holy shit! Actually? I'm sorry, it takes a moment for a text to go through and at first he just said he was getting a drink from the kitchen and then he just started walking up the stairs."
It was quiet for a moment as Lukas just nodded before Keeley impatiently threw her hands up, "Hey! Dude! How did it go? What did he say? Nodding isn't helping me to understand."
"I don't know, it went fine, he just apologised for walking in on us and left so I sent Isaac home while I talked to him, he was more mad that I wasn't studying."
"That's good!" She was beaming, "Two down, one to go."
