The following days passed as per usual for Lukas, normal classes, normal home life, normal everything, except for two things; one, he had to keep away from Aiden and his friends, and two, he was now accompanied in every class, recess and lunch by Isaac Pene.

By the time the first weekend of term one rolled around Lukas was starting to stress, he had made plans for Isaac to come over so they could work on their film project but he was starting to wish he had invited Adelaide too, to make sure it wouldn't be awkward for the two of them to be alone together. Lukas had cleaned and vacuumed his room and had made sure that it was tidy multiple times before noon trying to keep a low profile from his dad so that he wouldn't figure out why he was freaking out, he was just glad that his mum was out with his sister, she was much better at picking up on things.

When Isaac finally arrived at around quarter-to-one, Lukas was trying desperately to lower his heart rate, he's just a boy, he told himself, you're just friends, you're making yourself look worse.

Isaac showed up on his bike and leaned it against the tree in the front yard where Lukas's bike was before knocking on the door, Lukas had been waiting down stairs in the kitchen so that his dad couldn't open the door first. He took a deep breath and opened the door.
"Hey," Lukas said as he opened the door.
"Hi."
"Do you want me to show you around or do you want to just go to my room-" Lukas cut himself off unsure if what he said sounded suggestive at all and began stuttering a correction, "t-to-to work on the project?"
"I wouldn't mind a tour," Isaac said coolly, at least he was calm, Lukas thought.
"Do you want a drink or anything?"
"I'm alright."
Lukas couldn't help wondering if he looked as awkward as he felt.

After a quick tour of the house the two boys headed up to Lukas's room and sat on the bed, Lukas had a pen and notepad and was sat at the opposite end to Isaac to put as much room between them as he could on the double bed.
"Alright so what do we do our project on?" he asked
"I don't know, are you good with a camera?"
"Not at all, my area is more 'painting and drawing'"
"I'm more of a photography guy but I'm really untalented when it comes to filming," Isaac stated, "maybe we should come up with something where we don't actually have to hold the camera, with a cool topic to distract her from the fact that we aren't actually doing anything?"
"I think she's probably going to try and mark us on camera angles and techniques."
"Shit. Ok well... uhm... I got nothing," he threw himself back into the pillows and looked as though he was trying really hard to think; he reached for the camera and fiddled with it for a moment before turning it on and sitting up.
"What about a biography?" he smiled as he began to record Lukas, "a day in the life of Lukas Scott."
Lukas smiled and leapt forward to grab the camera away but Isaac rolled over and Lukas just fell down next to him. He made another grab and succeeded, holding it out of the other boy's reach.
Isaac tried to climb over Lukas to take back the camera and ended up straddling him and reaching for the camera, he took it back with ease and didn't seem to notice the way that Lukas had tensed up since he climbed on top of him. Lukas looked up at the boy, still straddling him and holding the camera like a trophy he had just won and begged his body not to react in a way that would make things awkward between the two.
Just then there was a knock on the door and the door was opened without waiting for a reply.
"We're back, mum wants to know if you had lunch yet or if she-" Keeley, Lukas's little sister, cut herself off as she looked at the scene before her, "am I interrupting something?" she smirked.
It was only then that Isaac seemed to realise what he was doing and quickly rolled off.
"N-no nothing's happening, just uhm fighting over the camera, tell mum I've had lunch, bye," Lukas stumbled over his words, "Oh and Keels, when you knock, you're supposed to wait for a response."

"Was that your sister?" Isaac asked when the small girl with the same green eyes and sandy blonde hair as Lukas left the room.
"Yeah, her name's Keeley," Lukas responded.
"So uh... back to the project."
Lukas could see that Isaac was uncomfortable after the situation from before.
"Yeah, so I actually think your idea about the biography isn't so bad, and if we incorporate it with your idea about not holding the camera we could actually make a good video."
"I thought you said she would mark us on angles and techniques?"
"Yeah, we have two cameras and we can just set them up at different angles and edit on a computer, we can make it look good, we'll interview each other."
Lukas looked at Isaac for any sign of approval.
"Ok, yeah, sounds awesome let's do it," he responded. "When?"
"How about tomorrow, or next weekend whichever works best, we can each go to our favourite places to do our interviews, how does that sound?"
"It sounds like the perfect plan."

A/N.
Last night my mum, who is the high school deputy principal at my school, had my primary deputy principal and my new principal over for dinner and I went inside to get food and waited for my mum to stop talking and the primary deputy principal started talking to me. She was talking about books and I started talking about how I love writing stories even if I'm not very good and said I had writers block and we were talking for ages so it kind of inspired me to write a chapter and a bit today and I might do some more tomorrow. Soz if it's shit, tell me how to fix it if it's fixable.
