@ MIKA'S HOUSE

Still Vic's POV

As we drive in I see Carol in front surveying the surroundings.

I quickly got out of the

Carol : " ma'am "

I gave a single nod as a response

Vic : " status report "

Carol : " Nothing out of the ordinary ma'am. Abigail is at the back while Kianna and Majoy is at the left and right wing respectively "

Vic : " Team Charlie should be here in a while they'll replace your shift here "

Carol : " okay, ma'am "

Vic : " Kim, come with me please "

She got out of the car and followed me inside. I opened the door with the extra key that we were all issued

Vic : " let's just do a whole sweep of the house "

She nodded

Kim : " I'll take the main floor you go upstairs "

I nodded and quickly made my way upstairs.

This house has 6 bed rooms (one bed room downstairs), 3 bathrooms (two upstairs), a media room, a massive living room and an extravagant kitchen.

I open every door I pass by that includes the 4 bed rooms that is empty the next door is the master bed room AKA ma'am Mika's room I slowly open her door making sure to not wake her up but to my surprise she wasn't asleep. She was sitting at one of the couches that is in her room. She jumped a little seeing me at the door.

Vic : " I'm sorry ma'am. Just checking. "

Mika : " it's okay Vic-  agent Vic "

Vic : " why are you up ma'am? "

Mika : " couldn't sleep "

I nodded not knowing what to say

Vic : " uhm- can I check your bathroom ma'am? "

She gave me a tight smile

Mika : " sure "

I walked in her room to her master bathroom with her following me though she stopped right outside of her bathroom as I look it's so spacious it can pass as a small apartment

As I was about to exit the bathroom she was by the door looking at me. I walked pass her out of the bathroom I noticed her terrace I walked closer to it making sure the door is locked

Vic : " keep all your doors and windows locked "

Mika : " okay "

Taking another look at her room I made my way back to the door

Vic : " sorry for bothering you ma'am, please get some rest "

I politely said

Mika : " I'll try "

I closed her door and continued my sweep.

I was on my way down after finishing my sweep which includes her media room and the shared comfort room when I heard someone speak into my earpiece.

" downstairs is clean "

It's Kim.

Vic : " same here upstairs "

Kim : " Team Charlie is here "

She once again spoke through the earpiece

Vic : " outside, now. "

As we got outside team Charlie was there with Carol

Vic : " got anything for me Cruz? "

Cienne : " nothing new ma'am "

Camille : " though he did have a small slip up "

Cienne : " yeah, he accidentally mentioned that whoever is ordering them works for the government "

Vic : " how high in the government? "

Camille : " he wouldn't say anything anymore ma'am "

Well shit that doesn't help that much. It could still be anyone.

I sigh in frustration, running my hand through my hair.

Vic : " okay, thank you. Team Charlie you know what to do. Team Bravo I want all of you here at 6am sharp tomo- later "

I cut myself off remembering that it's already morning. Carol called her team to leave as Cyd orders her team to take their respective positions.

Vic : " do a sweep inside every hour "

I ordered Cyd.

Cyd : " copy, ma'am "

I walked away to the waiting car where Kim was and got in the passenger seat.

Vic : " how far is the nearest hotel or motel here? "

Kim : " about 30 minutes away "

Vic : " we'll stay there. We need to be near as possible "

She nodded and drove us off to the nearest hotel to stay for the night.

@ THE HOTEL

Since we're only gonna stay for a few hours we decided to take the simple two-bed room.

I looked at my wrist watch seeing that it's pass 3 in the morning already.

I sat down on the bed debating whether to take a bath now or later but just seeing the soft fluffy bed made my exhaustion more palpable.

I lay down on the bed having made my decision. Sleep first. I looked at my side and saw Kim asleep already on the other bed
