Finals Week

Have a chapter in celebration of death week. In the wise words of my older sister, "Sleep is for the weak."

"You okay Buck?" Steve asked, noticing his boyfriend's seemingly emotionless face.

"Can I have a drink of your coffee?" Bucky didn't answer Steve's question.

"Here, I don't really want it." Steve handed Bucky his coffee, "What's up?"

"Just tired. Didn't get much sleep this week." Bucky answered.

"How many finals do you have today?" 

"Only one. But it's sixth hour." Bucky yawned before taking a sip of the coffee, "This tastes like shit." Bucky muttered before chugging the rest.

"Well just don't completely spend yourself." Steve placed a quick kiss on Bucky's head, "If you want I can take you to get another coffee at lunch."

"Thanks Stevie. You're the best." Bucky smiled.

"You're welcome Buck." Steve replied.

By the time health rolled around Bucky was completely drained. Luckily they'd already had a health final, so he could finally relax. But when he got to the class Sharon was talking to Steve. So he stayed by the door, not in the mood for any of her shit.

"Hey Steve." Sharon walked over to Steve and sat down on the table in front of Steve.

"Hi Sharon." Steve gave a small smile.

"I uh, I saw you talking to Barnes earlier." Sharon stated, obviously having something else to say.

"Yeah?" Steve tilted his head slightly.

"Steve I really don't think you should be spending that much time with him. He's not a good person and-" Sharon was cut of by Steve.

"Don't talk about him like that Sharon." Steve sighed.

"It's true Steve. He's trying to take advantage of how nice you are. He's a bad person." Sharon replied.

"Shut up Sharon." This caught the attention of the class, Steve has never done anything like that before, "I am not going to let you talk about someone like that. He is a wonderful person, he is the best person I know and you can not change my mind. You're the one being a jerk here Sharon, so stop trying to push me away from my boyfriend before you really make me angry."

Sharon really wasn't expecting the last part, "B-boyfriend. That asshole has already gotten to you don't you get it? He's a selfish jerk and he's trying to use you!"

"Don't ever say that about James ever again. You may not realize the price of your actions but you're really hurting people with the lies you tell and I'm not going to listen to any of your bullshit." Steve replied.

"My God Steve. He doesn't care about you, stop being so stupid." Sharon rolled her eyes.

"Maybe he doesn't care about me, I can't really know what he thinks, but I love him and you aren't going to change that." Steve caught sight of Bucky in the doorway, he exited the room really quickly, "I'm going to go before I punch something." Steve muttered.

Bucky was outside the door almost crying. Steve quickly found his boyfriend and noticed his eyes pricked with tears.

"Baby, what's wrong?" Steve immediately asked, hoping that nothing Sharon had said was getting to his head.

"Y-you said you love me." Bucky answered.

"Yeah I did, why are you-" Steve was really confused. Why would Bucky want to cry because he said that he loves him?

"Brock never said he loved me, no one else I dated ever really has." Bucky muttered.

"Oh Bucky." Steve hugged Bucky who immediately hugged back.

"I love you." Bucky mumbled.

"I love you too." Steve replied placing a kiss on the top of Bucky's head.

The bell rung and the two walked back into the classroom hand in hand. Bucky sat with Steve and Sam the whole hour. The teacher didn't mind them sitting three to a table since it was a free period anyways.

Randomly during the hour, Steve would grab Bucky's hand and kiss the top of it. The gesture seemed to be unnoticed by Bucky, but he noticed and it really meant a lot to him. At the end of the hour, Steve planted another kiss on the back on Bucky's hand and Bucky returned the gesture.

"I love you Buck." Steve smiled.

"I love you too Steve." Bucky returned the smile, happier than he had ever been.

It's a little short but finals week just started for me so I'm tired and stressed so here is a small chapter so you have something to read. I hope you like it and I'll have a full chapter up by Christmas.
