All his thoughts suddenly stopped when there was a loud voice at the other side of the room. "STOP!"

He still couldn't believe it. After being raised as an Asgardian for years, it seemed impossible for him to believe that he was a Frost Giant. Maybe it was something else. "Am I cursed?"

"No," the voice said.

"What am I?"

"You're my son."

He put the Casket down and turned to face the source of the voice. He faced his father, Odin. His entire body was blue. His eyes were red like that of a Frost Giant. Designs on his face were exposed like the people of Jotunheim. If he wasn't cursed, then what? Was it really true? Was what he feared come true? Was he--who was suppose to be an Asgardian-- one of those murderous monsters? "What more that that?"

Loki walked over toward Odin, anger welling up inside him. He wanted an explanation. He deserved an explanation. "The Casket wasn't the only thing you took from Jotunheim that day, was it?"

Odin kept silent for a few seconds, trying to see if there was any way to twist the truth, but the damage was done. Loki knew the truth and wanted answers. The only thing he could tell him was every secret he kept about his youngest son. Why sis you take him to Jotunheim, Thor? "No. In the aftermath of the battle, I went into the temple and I found a baby. Small for a giant's offspring. Abandoned, suffering, left to die. Laufey's son."

"Laufey's son?" Loki looked down at the floor. He was the son of the king of monsters without knowing it. He was a monster hidden in a realm of saints. Most were saints. It was a cruel thing to keep the truth hidden from a child, especially one who was more than 1,000 years old. His anger for Odin increased. He looked at his so-called father.

"Yes," Odin said sadly.

Loki looked around in disbelief. Tears were forming in his eyes. "Why? You we knee-deep in Jotun blood, why would you take me?"

"You were an innocent child."

Loki knew that Odin was trying to twist the truth. He wouldn't allow it this time. "No, you took me for a purpose. What was it?" Odin didn't say anything. Loki was tired of his secrets. "TELL ME!"

Odin gave up. It was time to tell him everything. In a calm voice, he said, "I thought we could unite our kingdoms one day. Bring about an alliance, bring about permanent peace...through you."

Everything that came out of Odin's mouth came as a shock. "What?"

"But those plans no longer matter."

Everything was coming together. "So I am no more than another stolen relic, locked up here until you might have use of me?"

"Why do you twist my words?"

"You could have told me what I was from the beginning, why didn't you?"

"You're my son. I wanted only to protect you from the truth."

Lies! It's all lies! "Because I'm the monster parents tell their children about at night?" Loki believed that Odin never saw him as a son. Odin saw him as free prisoner. Loki was a monster in his eyes. Everything that he has learned: love, trust, faith. It has all been lies told by the ones who say they love him. He wondered if Thor knew.

"No, no." Loki was far from the truth. He refused to listen to Odin's words, believing a false truth.

Loki continued. "You know, it all makes sense now, why you favored Thor all these years because no matter how much you claim to love me, you could never have a Frost Giant sitting on the throne of Asgard!" Loki walked out of the room, leaving Odin to his thoughts and the realization of what just happened.
---------------------------------------------------------
It was a long day for Odin. Both of his sons added more wrinkles and gray hair to the old king. He worried what life would be like now that Loki knew the truth. Would he move away and live with his real father and become an enemy as well? That's what Odin feared the most.

He opened the door to his chambers. Frigga was on the bed getting ready to fall asleep. She saw his worried and wearied face.

"What's wrong, Odin?"

"He knows."

"Who--"

"Loki. He knows the truth of where he came from, his parentage. He went into the weapons vault and found out the truth with the Casket. However, he believes the wrong things."

"Where is he now?" Frigga asked, beginning to worry about how their lives would be like now.

"I do not know. He stormed out after the argument and before I can utter another word. He is hurt and I fear that he will be an enemy now that he knows Laufey is his true father."

"Odin, you do not know that." Frigga got up from the bed and walked toward her husband. "For all we know, Laufey's heart has changed over the years."

"He fought Thor--"

"Because Thor started the war by going over there. It was not the Frost Giants' intention to fight. Now answer me this: do you love Thor any less than what you did before?"

"No." Odin knew where this was headed. She was right.

"Right. You still see good in Thor despite what he did. Why can't you see that in the Jotuns? If that's all you see in them, that's all you see in Loki."

"He is God of Mischief."

She put her arms around his neck. "You gave him that title when you brought him. What's to become of him now?"

"I do not know."
---------------------------------------------------------
Thor couldn't find his brother anywhere. He looked everywhere, even in his favorite places. He even went outside and asked many Asgardians where he was, but no one knew. Thor began to get worried.

He went to the Bifrost where Heimdall kept watch on all the realms. "Heimdall, where's Loki?"

Heimdall stared at the older prince and said nothing, not wanting to cause another conflict. Loki had the right to know and understand, and that's where the Watcher took him.

Hi y'all. Sorry this took long (you know how school is). Anyways, I hope you liked the chapter and stay tuned for a new chapter. (I didn't put Odin in a coma because I felt like that scene deserved more explanation). Anyway, please tell me what you think and God bless you❤.
