Heimdall, Loki, and Laufey walked up to the front of the temple where Frigga stood. They watched as the Asgardians approached them in a big group, Odin leading them all. By the looks of it, the king was furious. The look and walk of determination said it all.

Loki took a breath. He tried not to be nervous at the approaching king. It felt like a ticking time bomb in the young prince's heart. Who knew what Odin would do now that his anger was boiling. Loki stood straight and tall despite how he felt.

Odin was only a few feet away now. Frigga stepped foward as to protect those behind her from Odin's blazing fury.

"Odin, don't do this," Frigga said now that they were face to face. "We only came here to make peace, not start a war."

"And do you expect me to believe that after all that the Frost Giants have done."

"You have rage in you heart. We were not manipulated, we chose to come here. We came here to talk peace. Agree and this whole thing can be prevented. No more lives have to be taken because of the realms' feud. Let us make a truce."

Odin looked at Loki, then Laufey, as he spoke. "The last truce we made ended in tragedy. What makes you believe this can be any different?"

"Because you have me," Loki said, walking up to stand by his mother. "You took me for a purpose, remember. To bring peace to both realms. Well, Odin, that is what I'm doing."

"Those plans no longer matter. They have died long ago."

"Then what am I doing here?"

"You brought the Casket here. Last time it was nearly impossible to defeat the Frost Giants and now that it is back, you seek revenge. You have been seeking revenge since you have found out who you are. You are nothing but a Frost Giant."

Loki didn't move. His face became unreadable. He wasn't offended by Odin's words, now proud that he was a Frost Giant, for he now knew the truth about them. He smiled calmly at the king of Asgard. "Who's twisting their words now?"

"I've had enough of this. Give the Casket to us and all will end."

Loki shook his head. "I can't do that. We need it for survival. Without it, this realm suffers, and you're suppose to be protector of the Nine Realms. That includes this one."

"If you will not return the Casket, then it is war."

Loki closed his eyes. He had a feeling that this would happen. Odin's heart would be so full of rage that his vision would be blinded. As much as Loki didn't want to, it was necessary if he wanted to protect his people. If not, Odin would destroy them all.

Loki opened his eyes, now red with black pupils. His skin slowly turned blue with designs on his body. "So let it be." Spikes of ice formed on his hands.

"Asgardians!" Odin yelled to his people while still staring at Loki with disgrace. "Retrieve the Casket at whatever cost."

Thor and his friends stood beside the Casket, guarding it with their lives. Thor had Mjolnir ready in his hand to fight. He heard the commotion going on outside and knew that Odin wanted war.

His heart was troubled. He didn't want to fight his father. He wished that none of this ever happened, or that Odin would be more reasonable, but he had to stand with his brother because he knew he was right. Everything that he heard about the Frost Giants--how they were nothing but monsters--was all a lie. They were just like any other people, and he wanted to defend that as much as Loki did. Jotunheim has had enough.

He laughed under his breath a little. Who knew that the God of Mischief--the one who loved war and chaos--would be the one to bring peace to the two realms. It amazed the mind of the God of Thunder.

The sounds of a thousand people yelling and weapons clanging each other suddenly interrupted the prince's thoughts.

"The war has already begun?" Fandral asked. "That's not enough time for a negotiation."

"That's because Father's heart is filled with rage and betrayal. Us fighting for the enemy's side is what drew the last straw. Get your weapons ready, they're coming."

The five Asgardians stood in front of the Casket. Odin's soldiers were getting near. Thor held his weapon tightly.

Three of Odin's warriors stood in front of the guarding Asgardians. "Give us the Casket and we will do no harm, my prince."

"You and I both know I cannot do that, for the sake of the realms."

"If the Casket remains here, what do you think the Frost Giants will do?"

"Help their people."

"Do you really believe that?"

"I do."

The warriors took their swords out and pointed them at Thor and his friends. "Then you leave us no choice." The warriors began to attack and they fought.

Thor heard more soldiers coming in to the room. He threw Mjolnir at the coming soldiers, causing them to fall back. More soldiers then started coming in from every side. He pointed Mjolnir to the sky, took in the lightning, and shocked the people coming into the room. Still, more soldiers came swarming into the room.

"Already there's too many of them," Sif yelled.

"Did you think Father was going to fight easy?" he said as he threw his hammer at more soldiers.

It was not long before there were too many soldiers for the warriors to handle, even for Thor. He tried smashing his hammer onto the ground and electrocuted all the soldiers in the room, but more kept coming and he knew why. They were all after the Casket.

Thor threw his hammer at more soldiers, but then something went wrong. When he tried to call Mjolnir back to his hand, it never came. He ran to a near by window to see the fight outside. The view was terrible. Asgard was definitely prepared. Thor's face got pale when he looked at his father. He knew they were done for. Odin held both Gungnir and Mjolnir in his hands.

When he looked at Loki, he knew that his brother thought the same thing
The Frost Giants had no standing chance. The Asgardians were too strong and more prepared.

Loki ran to the temple where Thor and his friends fought.

"Thor!" Sif called. Her voice was troubled. A few seconds later, a fiery explosion came from the room. Thor and Loki arrived at the same time and saw that the Casket was no longer where they placed it, but was now in the silver hands of the Destroyer. They never saw it come in. Without his hammer, Thor could only do so much.

"No!" Loki yelled. He tried to attack it, but the Destroyer swatted him like a fly, and he hit the wall and fell on the floor.

Loki stood up quickly, three deep scars now on his left side.

The Casket was in the hands of the Asgardians now. They've come to their last resort all too quickly. They needed to get that Casket back, and Loki had an idea on how.
