A Chihuahua I named TWINK was just a tiny fur-baby, almost 15 years ago and when I adopted him, he could fit in the palm of my hand.
Last week, I took him to the vets for them to check his teeth as he has bad breath.
An operation was needed, using a general anaesthetic. He's almost 15!
His brothers and sisters died of natural causes as in 'old age' before age 7, some only 5 human years old.
He is almost blind and quite deaf.
He goes on memory and smell and does very well.
NEWS came!
The Vetinarian phoned and said he's awake and has stood up shakily. I can go to clinic at 4:30pm and if he's ok I can bring him home.
He'll be on antibiotics and pain meds for a few days.
Bad teeth were extracted but infection was not down into the gums which is good news.An earlier photo of Twink taken a couple of years ago, with headdress as a 'troll' from the movie, "Trolls".
One of the staff st the Vet clinic took a photo of Twink during the operation and is going to email it to me another day, so I will take more photos and work on a 'sequel part' so this part isn't too long.
Twink is home now, resting.... here he is in a photograph I took straight into my phone and it was posted instantly into this Part 36 on Wattpad. So very convenient!God gave us animals to care for, to rule over. In Genesis, God blessed the humans he created, saying, "Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it, and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every livin thing that moves on the earth." Genesis 1:28
I praise God and thank Him that little Twink has come through so well and will keep praying for him to recover and have good quality of life for years to come yet. With God, all things are possible.
