It has been almost two months and Khalia is still not awake. The doctors told everyone that she stopped fighting to pull threw and they still believe that she will not make it. Kelly has been by her side through this whole thing. You cannot leave me now. Kelly thought. He is still getting a little behind on schoolwork, but he stay after to make it up. Kelly's brothers keep telling him not to worry about Khalia and to focus on his work. It is just too hard to do, when you really love someone. He cannot sleep, cannot eat, and lately he hasn't been the same because he's too worried about Khalia. He told him self that if she didn't make it he don't think he would make it. Ms. Summers is doing very well. She should be able to leave in about two days. Kelly told her what had happened and everything. She told him to leave it alone and everything will come together.
Right now Kelly is sitting with Khalia like always. She looks so peaceful it is scary. He is singing to her, her favorite love song. I just wish she could wake up right now. Kelly thought. When he was done singing, he just held her hand, praying to get another chance with her. As Kelly was holding her hand, he felt a light squeeze on his. He looked up and saw her eyes struggle to open. Then found him with a huge smile spreading across his face. "GUYS!! EVERYONE COME QUICK SHE'S AWAKE!!!!!!!!" Kelly yelled. Soon everyone came rushing in.
"Where am I?" Khalia said. Her voice was scratchy. However, it was music to Kelly's ears.
"Baby! You are awake! Thank you Jesus." Desiree cried out. Someone had ran out to get the doctor.
"Who are you people? Where am I?" She asked looking around the room. Hearing those words killed Kelly. She does not remember anything. Everyone staid quiet with worried looks on their faces. Soon the doctor came in.
"Okay Ms. Bright glad to see you awake. Thought we were going to loose you." The doctor said.
"Where am I?" Khalia asked sitting up.
"You're in the hospital." Dr. McKinley told her.
"Why?" When she asked her questions, it seemed as if she was a few years younger.
"You had a bad accident." Dr. McKinley said. She looked around at all the strange faces staring at her.
When she looked at Kelly, a smile spread across her face. Yes, she remembers me. Kelly thought. "You're cute." She whispered. I guess she was not good at it because some people let out a small laugh.
"Okay Ms. Bright how do you feel?" The doctor asked writing something on the paper.
"Like I got ran over by three big ass trucks." Khalia quickly covered her mouth after she heard what she had said. "Oops. Sorry about that." She apologized. The doctor shook his head and laughed a little.
"That's okay. Can you tell me where the pain is?" He asked looking at her.
"Everywhere! Wait! I don't think I can feel my legs." She said frantically, rubbing on her legs.
"Your legs are fine." The doctor grabbed her hand and assured her.
"So who are you people and why are you here?" She asked looking around.
"This is your family and they were worried about you." Doctor Smith told her. "No. This is not my family." She said shaking her head.
"I have no family. My mom died giving birth, and my dad left us." Mr. Kevin looked at Khalia's mom, Desiree, and they both showed fear.
