"Remember everyone!" The Garrison's school principal, Iverson, announced over the speaker.  "Next weekend's the Garrison Fair.  See Coran in the counselor's office to sign up for a booth, or come see me if you want to create your own.  Hope you all have a good weekend.  See you all Monday." The speaker went silent and the class started talking again.  It was the last period of the day, astronomy.  This class was taught by Takashi Shirogane, but he had asked everyone to call him Shiro.  Only his boyfriend, Adam Walsh, calls him Takashi.  Keith Kogane, who is pretty much Shiro's adopted son even though he legally isn't, stood at his desk, in the midst of a conversation.  Lance, Pidge, and Hunk sat in the back of the classroom, talking among themselves.  Allura was listening to her friends, Romelle and Lotor, argue about what booth they should sign up for.

"Guys, I'm telling you!  We should make our own booth!" Lance said to Pidge and Hunk, a big smile on his face.

"And what type of booth are you thinking of?" Pidge asked with an eyebrow raised.

"A kissing booth." He replied, holding his hands in the air and moving them in opposite directions, as if he were revealing invisible word.  Pidge and Hunk just stared at him.

"Is this another one of your plans to get Allura, or any other girl, to kiss you?" Hunk asked.

"Oh, knowing Lance, it is." Pidge shook her head, pushing her brother's glasses, he had given them to her when he went to college two years ago, up the bridge of her nose.

"What?" Lance laughed, a bit of blush crossing his cheeks. "Okay well, maybe a little."

"Dude.  You have this friendship with her.  Isn't that enough?" Pidge questioned.

"She's friendly with everyone Pidge.  She has the same friendship with everyone!  Well except for Romelle and Lotor.  Their, like, her best friends."

"Don't forget Keith." Hunk reminded him.  "She's always hanging around him."

"Ugh Keith." Lance glared over at Keith.  "He even has a better relationship with Allura than I do.  He's always one upping me."

"Well, maybe if you made an effort to talk to Allura more, instead of coming up with random plans to get her to hug you or kiss you or whatever, you'd have a better relationship with her.  You can't force her to like you Lance." Pidge sighed.

"Oh I'm not forcing anything.  I'm just trying to help her realize her feelings for me." Pidge and Hunk rolled their eyes.

Meanwhile, Keith was talking to Shiro about the fair.

"Come on Keith, you should go." Shiro insisted.

"I told you Shiro." Keith crossed his arms, his long black bangs covering his purple eyes.  "I have no interest in going to the fair.  I don't even talk to anyone.  I'll just be standing off to the side.  I might as well be in my room."

"Well, you hang out with Allura.  Why don't you go with her?" Shiro gestured over to Allura, who was in the middle of resolving the argument between Romelle and Lotor.

"I--" Keith started, but Shiro was already trying to get Allura's attention.

"Allura, can you come here for a second?"

"What's up Shiro?" She asked once she was at his desk.

"Keith was just telling me how he wasn't going to the fair."

"What?  Keith, you're not going?" Allura gasped.

"I just don't have anyone to go with." Keith shrugged.

"Nonsense! You can come with me!" She smiled.

"Uh, but you'll be working a booth with Romelle and Lotor.  I don't want to get in your way." Keith said after taking a moment to think of an excuse.  Allura grabbed Keith's arm and dragged him over to her friends.

"Hey, I'm going to walk with Keith at the fair for the first half, then I'll help you guys with the booth for the second half."

"Okay." Romelle said, as Lotor nodded.  Shiro looked over at them, a smile on his face.  In the back of the classroom, Lance sat with his mouth hung open.

"Did you see that?!" Lance swung his head to look at Pidge and Hunk, his arms stretched out in the direction of Keith and Allura.  "Keith even got her to touch his arm!"

"Woah, Allura grabbed his arm." Pidge said in a monotone voice.  Finally, the bell rang.  As the students left, and the noise level increased as people swarmed the hallway, Shiro spoke.

"Hey, don't forget!  Astronomy test Monday!" He tried to say over the noise.  After he saw no one acknowledged him, he sighed.

"Bye Shiro." Keith said.  "See you tomorrow."

"Bye Keith.  Make sure you study." Shiro smiled.  Keith chuckled, shaking his head as he waved goodbye.
