The following day, Keith sat alone at lunch.  This is what he did everyday.  Allura had her lunch earlier than he did, so there wasn't really anyone else who liked him enough to sit by him.  He noticed James staring at him from across the cafeteria, a small smirk on his face.  A second later, he felt a tap on his shoulder.  Looking to his right, he saw Lance.

"Hunk told me to ask if you wanted to sit with us." Lance shoved his hands into his jeans pockets, looking down at the floor.

"Uh, sure." Keith accepted the invite, following Lance to his usual table closest to the food.  They sat down next to each other, Pidge and Hunk sitting on the other side of the table.

"Glad you decided to join us Keith." Pidge moved her glasses up a bit, seeming to recreate the anime glasses glare.

"Well, thanks Hunk, for inviting me to sit with you guys." Keith said in a low tone.

"I didn't invite you." Hunk replied in confusion, in between bite.  He was having a chicken patty and fresh cut fries with strawberry milk, Pidge was eating nachos and cheese with both white and chocolate milk, and Lance was having nachos and a salad with a milkshake, which is served every Tuesday.  Keith, on the other hand, only had a cheeseburger with a black coffee that he brought.  Lance looked up at Hunk, waving his hand in hopes that he'll get the idea and go along with it, but Hunk only continued to look confused.

"But, Lance said you told him to ask me." Keith gestured over at Lance, who was now looking in the opposite direction, hiding his face with the hood of his jacket.  Hunk looked at Pidge, realizing what was going on.

"I wasn't the one who suggested that." Hunk confirmed.  "That was Lance's idea."

"Hunk!" Lance shouted in a whispered tone.

"Wait, but why?" Keith could help but ask.

"He thought you'd like to hang out with us.  He mentioned something about wanting to talk to you as well." Pidge shrugged, finishing her nacho chips with a smug smirk on her face.  Lance glared at her, then looked down.  Keith looked over at Lance, who was now playing with his food, his cheeks red.

"Is there something you want to talk about?" Keith questioned, lightly placing his hand on Lance's shoulder.  Lance jumped at the sudden contact, and, with a sigh, he grabbed Keith's wrist and pulled him toward the exit.  When they were out of the cafeteria, Lance headed for the bathroom.  Though Lance had a tight grip, Keith didn't struggle.  He allowed Lance to take him to the bathroom, assuming that he wanted to talk in private.  He was right.  As soon as Lance and Keith were in the bathroom, and Lance checked to make sure no one was with them, he started talking.

"Sorry about dragging you here.  I just wanted to talk in private." Lance apologized.  Keith replied with a small grin, looking down at his wrist which was still in Lance's grasp.

"Um." Keith mumbled. Lance looked down, quickly realizing he was still holding onto him.  He quickly let go, letting out a cough before continuing.

"S-sorry.  I didn't realize I was still.... Uh nevermind.  I wanted to talk to you about yesterday."

"Oh." Keith rubbed his arm nervously, wondering what Lance had to say about the incident.  Guilt washed over him once again.  Before Lance could continue, Keith started speaking.  "Lance, you didn't have to do that.  You didn't have to take the blame for me.  I'm surprised James didn't speak up and correct you."

"Well, he said he wasn't 'done talking with me yet' so he was fine with me going down to the office with him.  It gave him more time to tell me off and whatever, ya know?  Plus, I know I didn't need to do what I did, but I did it anyway.  This is definitely out of my comfort zone, but I guess it's best to be honest.  The truth is, I didn't want you to get in trouble after the amazing weekend you had.  I was worried you'd get suspended and that was not something you needed to deal with right now.  I'm sorry for how I act towards you.  Calling you names and all.  I want you to know that I am your friend, and if there's ever a time when you need to talk to someone, you can come to me."
