Monday came once again.  The only thing unusual about that Monday was Lance's inability to look away from Allura.  Throughout the entire day, Lance would stare at her dreamily, or try to talk to her more often.  There was nothing wrong with that, but it annoyed a few people, mainly Keith.  He would purposely slow his walking pace so he would be farther behind the group, when they walked together, whenever Allura was with them.  When the time came to walk to seventh hour, Keith walked slower, yet again.  As he was doing so, his eyes caught a glimpse of a piece of paper hung on one of the display boards.  He stopped for a second, taking the time to read what was written on it.  It was a flyer for the fall dance that was taking place on Saturday.

"Why wasn't this announced on Friday?" He asked himself. "These things are usual announced a week before they happen." He ripped the flyer off the wall, and ran to catch up with his group of friends.

"Hey guys." Keith said, rereading the flyer as they all walked into class.  "Did you know there was a dance going on this Saturday?"

"A dance?" Lance exclaimed, slamming his belongings on his desk dramatically.

"Oh, yeah." Allura said, looking off into space to think.  "I do believe I overheard Coran talking about that."

"Well, why wasn't it announced on Friday?" Keith questioned, taking his seat two seats in front of Lance's.

"That could have been the announcement that got cut off on Friday." Pidge pushed up her glasses, sitting in the seat behind Keith.

"So are we all planning on going?" Hunk asked.

"Well, I'm definitely going." Lance answered.  "Looks like I'm going to have an eventful weekend.  Baseball game on Friday, then a dance on Saturday."

"Romelle, Lotor, and I already decided we were going." Allura looked over at Pidge.  "What about you, Pidge?"

Pidge shrugged.  "I have nothing going on this weekend so I guess I'll go."

"I'm not." Keith replied from his seat, not turning around to face the others.

"Oh come on, Keith." Lance sighed.  "You are a total buzzkill."

"Look, I don't do dances." Keith shrugged.

"Why not?  Are you scared of dancing in front of people or something?" Lance questioned, walking over to stand next to Keith's desk.

"I am not scared!" Keith turned to the side, glaring up at Lance, their faces inches apart.  The entire room went silent, the only sound that could be heard was the sound of the bell ringing.  Lance was a little shocked by the outburst, but did not allow it to show.  Keith's eyes widened.  He was shocked by his sudden outburst as well.  He quickly turned in his desk and stared down, avoiding making eye contact.  "I just can't dance." Keith mumbled under his breath.  Lance blinked, eyes widening.  He opened his mouth to apologise, but was interrupted by the teacher.

    "Alright class.  Take your seats."

***************

Keith was placing his books in his locker, taking out his bookbag and slinging it over his arm.  Even though they had dorm rooms, there were still lockers in the main school that you could use if you didn't want your school supplies taking up your room.  He began to walk towards the dormitory when someone called his name.  He didn't look back, but he did slow his pace to a stop so the person could catch up.

"Hey Keith." Lance said as he jogged up to him, a bookbag hanging from one arm.  They continued walking as Lance spoke.  "Look man.  I didn't get to apologise for last hour.  I'm sorry for saying you were scared of dancing.  That obviously made you upset and the tone I used was kind of mocky sounding.  I wasn't thinking when I said that.  Sorry for all that." Keith slightly glanced at him, seeing the sorry look on his face.  Keith thought for a moment.
