It's been a week since Gael asked me out. I haven't said anything yet but he keeps bugging me every day. I find it cute but I don't know if I should.

Today, I discussed with Jia and came up with a solution. I'm gonna say yes to him but we'll have to take things slow. I've got to talk to him. I would say yes but I need to find out who he really is.

Jia warned me not to bring her into the conversation.
"When it's private, more things will come out."

That's the only thing she said and I agreed. After classes, I met him at the same spot.

"Let's sit," I say as we sit on the bench.

"So, what's your answer?"

I sigh. "My answer is yes. But we can't rush things. We can date but we're not getting physically and emotionally involved just yet. I'm not comfortable. So, we'll date casually and see where things go."

"Okay. Is that all?"

"No. I just want to know more about you. I can't just blindly date someone who I don't know about. I'm sure you'd like to know about me as well."

"Yeah."

"Okay, so you can ask me anything you'd like to know about me." I smile.

"What's your favorite color?"

"Black and red," I answer. "What's yours?"

"White." He replies and there goes the conversation. We instantly became silent.

I had to break the silence. "Anything else you'd like to ask?"

"Your favorite food?" He asks.

"Strawberry milkshake and Hyderabadi Briyani."

"Oh, that's an... interesting combination." I'm sure he's judging me but I find that funny.

I giggle. "Oh no, I don't eat them together. I love them separately."

"Thank God."

"I like to eat my Hyderabadi Briyani with some Raita and this Tamil dish called Chicken Varuval. It's the best combination." I boast about my favorite food combination.

"I see."

And again, it went completely silent. Maybe he wants to find out about me by himself instead of asking them. "So, I'm guessing your favorite food is Chai and Paratha?"

He looks at me surprised. "How'd you know that?"

"That's the only thing you'd order here. I observed and took a guess."

"Wow." He murmurs but I heard that. "Oh, and do you have any talents?"

"I do. I can sing, dance, and model. I'm in those society clubs of my college."
