My Princess: I'm heading to my parents' house to discuss Jia's wedding since I'm her maid of honor. I'll be back late at night.

I received a text from my wife while I was typing on my computer at work. I read the message immediately and started typing.

Me: Your car is still getting fixed so take my other car and my driver, princess.

My Princess: Your other car? And your driver?

Me: Yes, the black Audi and my driver is already there.

My Princess: Oh, the one with the thick-ass glasses?

Not gonna lie, I almost chucked reading her text. But she's right, I have no idea why he wears such thick glasses which makes his eyes appear way bigger and he ends up looking like a cartoon character.

I've been meaning to ask why he wears those glasses like one of those characters from Sponge-Bob but I never had the mood.

Me: Yes, princess. His name's Bhavin. I just informed him you were leaving. He will bring the car to the front porch so you will just need to get in.

My Princess: Okay.

Me: What time will you be back?

My Princess: Late, about nine in the night.

Me: I'm gonna be late today as well. So, I'll come pick you up on my way home from work. Please be safe and ring me immediately if there's anything.

My Princess: Okay.

I absolutely love the fact that these days she spells 'Okay' and not 'Ok'. That tiny difference means so much to me. And I wasn't gonna be late today. I just wanted the opportunity to have her sit next to me in my car.

And if I was gonna pick her up, surely I would have to go inside to say hello to the family. That way, I can spend some time with them. They make me feel good whenever I'm with them.

I smile thinking about Zara's family. She's truly blessed to have them.

My thoughts were interrupted by my phone ringing "Hello?"

"Hi, sir. Aman here."

"Wrong number. Because the Aman I know wouldn't call me sir for the last damn time."

"Oh my God!" I hear him laughing his ass off which brought a smile to my face. Did I just really make someone laugh that hard?

"I'm so sorry. It's just old habits. How can I forget the amount of respect I have for the man who aided me throughout my downfall?"

I smile genuinely. "Listen, I know I said no one needs to know about this but I told Zara what happened. She asked me what happened and as her husband, I must tell her everything. I hope you don't mind that."
