They're beginning the marriage preparations and I'm doing nothing. I told Dad that I didn't want to contribute to anything as I seriously had no mood for anything at all. Apparently, Dad told me that Raj said it was totally okay and he'd take care of everything. He didn't want me to do anything in the first place.

The wedding will take place in less than two months, during my semester break which will last for three weeks. Which is the perfect time, to be honest.

I notice he's bonding with my family. Even Jia. Why do they all like him? He's probably acting like this to impress everyone but not me. I won't be impressed by him.

"He's so lovely to us, didi. He asked me about my school and what I wanna do in the future. The best part is, he asks me about me. He asks what I like and what I don't and he remembers it!" Anya tries to provoke me.

"Fine. Go bond with your brother-in-law."

"Don't be salty to her." Jia backs her up. "Is it our fault he's kind and lovely? You're just so weird. You like an arrogant dude and you don't like a lovely dude."

Anya rolls her eyes and leaves my room. Now with only Jia and I in my room.

"Don't bring up that asshole," I say, indicating Gael. There's no need to mention that son of a bitch.

"He always asks for you, by the way."

"Who, Gael??" I freak out.

"No, dumbass. Raj!" Jia smacks her lips.

"Oh." I let out a sigh of relief. I've been praying he doesn't disturb me and my family again. "Why's he asking for me?"

"Oh shit! I don't know?? Maybe... just maybe because he missed your ass?" Her sarcasm's really gonna pull my wrong nerve one day.

Jia sighs. "He hasn't seen his fiancée for a week. Obviously, he would miss you."

I roll my eyes.

"He's here!" Anya barges in out of nowhere and informs us. She didn't say the name but we knew exactly who she was talking about.

"Where's he?" Jia asks.

"He's sitting in the living room with Mom and Dad. They seem to be discussing something serious about the wedding." Anya replies with a smile on her face. "I'm gonna go greet him."

She leaves the room again.

"And we have to leave for uni. C'mon." Jia drags me outside. I was already ready with my bag, wearing my lab coat. It was only because of Anya's bickering we needed to stop ourselves from going. Jia walks far ahead of me.

"Hi, Raj Bhaiya. How're you?" Jia greets him.

Raj smiles at her. "Hey, Jia. I'm good, how're you? How's studies going?"

"Everything's good, bhaiya. And for you? I hope you're not overworking yourself. I was told you're handling everything for the wedding."

"I insisted. I don't mind doing most of the work. Moreover, they're working on them too so I'm not alone." Raj indicates Mom and Dad.

"If you need Zara's help then let me know. I'll drag her to help you."

This bitch.

Raj lets out a faint chuckle. "There's no need for that, Jia. Let her rest. All she needs to do is make herself pretty and get married."
