So last chapter was...yeah fun. And this chapter hopefully would be. Let's enjoy the whole big meal.

But before you enjoy the meal shout out to ma bae hoe on hitting 10k...May you reach more as time goes...and crosses prince heartless.

Her phone ringing woke her up from her nap on the sofa in her husband's home office. She fished for her phone ,cleared her throat and picked it up.

"Assalamualaikum Ahmed akhi....how are you doing?", she called out.

Walaikumassalam, Alhamdulillah I am good. How about you?

I am great...we have arrested Hamad and the company is now completely under the government control. So how is the thing going on with the stables at Newmarket?

All good. Uhh...Ukhthi...Hamdan Akhi hasn't been out of the room nor did he let anyone in the room since 3 days.

She knew he would find out about the stables and the arrest. But his reaction  would be this way, she hadn't realised that.  Worry and guilt made it's stop in her heart. She knew this day would come. Where it would be her turn to take over the guilt. She kissed him the way she did years ago. And he knew that. She gave him hope of the love she had for him was pure and innocent like she had years ago.

"Uh...how..is he?", she asked hesitatingly.

"I haven't seen him...but he gave a call saying we will leave today and he has asked us to stop by the zabeel palace. For brunch...Ukhthi...I don't know what is going to happen. But please be prepared...you have to show everyone their place. Even if you have to be a snake or shaytaan anything. Our family needs a reality check. Please help us." , he pleaded.

"akhi...please...take care of him.", her voice beginning to crack.

"It wasn't his fault you know...he never wanted her to still be associated with him...I guess you figured it out by now...he has his own betraying him. Your step was impulsive...I know how you feel...but this is for my soul.", he paused his breathing heavy.

"Please go ahead. ", she replied hesitantly.

"Do you really love him?",he uttered those words which strangely had a profound effect on her.

Her sigh was the only thing he heard before the dialtone.

"I'm so sorry Hamdan...I hope you will find it in your heart to forgive me someday!", with a heavy heart she opened the file and put on the final stamps to all the documents that were associated to the arrests and the assets that came with the person involved in it would automatically  be of the government and that person will be charged of punishment by law.

Maybe because of who she was and didn't believe in being an opportunist at the cost of people who didn't deserve it. She felt disgusted. Using Mohammed's moment of weakness and using the tender and raw moment she shared with Hamdan.

But moreover she was disgusted with herself for being the hypocrite she had become. She would blame the Maktoum's who used people for their benefits. Who used people when they went weak. who played with their feelings.

She felt disgusted that she turned into one of them.

But she felt even more disgusted that she used Hamdan...who clearly did not deserve her betrayal. Far across the distant lands she could hear his  heart shatter...

"I'm so sorry.",she whispered to herself.

She nervous as she checked herself in the mirror before entering their formal dining hall. Why are we having a conversation in the formal room rather than our own home. Oh...obviously I'm in some trouble...but Hamdan would obviously talk to me first.
