Under His Command

Chapter 10

BOOM! That was the sound of a bomb exploding. I jumped behind the couch in fear.

How can this happen? Things were finally turning out great for me and some SWAT team members had to ruin it for me.

As I shivered in fear I felt to powerful hands grab me. Oh great! This was the casino stunt all over again, but as I looked at the face of who the powerful hands belonged to my mood quickly brightened.

It was Lucas saving the day.

Gosh! He looked so handsome trying to be all heroic. As we dashed past the smoke I could hear the SWAT team yelling at each other to find me.

I looked up at the ceiling and saw a huge hole.

Oh no! The beautiful chandelier that was once on the ceiling had now been shattered into a million pieces.

I followed Lucas through the house. I had to slow my beautiful long legs down because I would outrun Lucas and then get lost and there was no time to start wandering around. Especially with the SWAT team looking for you with 600 rounds of ammo.

I climbed the stairs 2 by 2 following Lucas. I wonder where he was taking us. As I was about to ask he opened a bolted door and stepped on the roof.

Wow this place is so beautiful, but there was no time to enjoy the view as Lucas pulled me towards a blue helicopter!

Lucas opened the door of the helicopter and grabbed helmets. He gave one to me. I stared at him in shock with my mouth open like an idiot.

"Are you coming or not?" Lucas said smiling.

Before I could answer I heard banging on the door.

Why did the SWAT team have to ruin the best moments? There was no time to continue to wonder because that door wasn't going to last very long.

I strapped on the helmet and hopped in the helicopter. I shut the door and put on my seat belt. Safety is always first no matter how many SWAT team members are trying to kill you.

Lucas started the engine and this piece of machinery roared to life and started flying. As we started flying the door on the roof busted open reviling 12 SWAT team members in shock.

HA HA HA! That's what they get for trying to kill me!

As we got higher into the sky everything around me got smaller. Awwww look at those tiny little houses and cars below us. I gave myself a mental slap to get myself together.

I was just about to be killed by a bomb and here I am talking about how cute houses and cars looked like. If I make it out here alive I'm going straight to the church.

I turned over to look at Lucas who was flying the helicopter.

"We are over the Lukeville county.12,500 feet in the air" Lucas said grinning and sounding like a pro.

I think he caught me staring at him. As I continued to wonder my stomach started to growl.

Just great!

I don't think they have floating restaurants where you can stop without having to land to get food.

I think Lucas heard my stomach growl because he switched the helicopter to auto pilot and grabbed something behind me.

He brought it out reveling the 2 boxes of pizza!

"I knew you would be hungry." He said with a laugh

Boy is he right! My stomach would have eaten this helicopter if I didn't get any food in it.

"So let me get this straight. Your telling me when we were about to be killed by bombs you grabbed pizza?. I asked looking at him in shock.

"Yeah because there would be no time to stop to get something to eat." He said obviously

"Hmmmm yeah that makes sense." I said looking at the pizza box.

I quickly opened the box and grabbed a slice. I ate the pizza slice in one bite. I quickly ate one slice after another until my stomach couldn't fit any more.

I let out a loud burp. I felt a little embarrassed, but I didn't really care.

"Do you have any drinks?" I said a little to hopefully

"I thought you would never ask." He said smiling

He brought out a bottle of coca cola. I drank it down in one gulp. AHHHHHH that hit the spot!

As I enjoyed my meal Lucas turned on the classical radio and I leaned back and fell fast asleep as we drifted off into the cool evening sky.
