2 weeks later...

It's been awhile sense I've been up here. I got a job at a local movie theatre and I haven't told Chase yet. I've been saving up so I could move out. I also got a phone nothing fancy just iPhone 7.

I sat at home relaxing in my room. I'm so anxious to call her. I take a deep breathe and dial her number....

"H-hello?"

"Mama? It's Jas. A-are you okay?"

The line goes silent. I hear a few sniffles. "Ma?"

"Y-yes I'm okay baby. Where are you are you okay?"

"Yeah mama I'm okay. Um I just called to let you know I love you and I'll—" Chase snatched my phone, "Who was that?" I grab it back, "No one the fuck get out." Her eyes turned black, I never seen her like this. she started throwing everything, "WHO WAS YOU TALKING TO? PROBABLY ANOTHER BITCH UGH PATHETIC!" She took a deep breath and walked out and the came back and snatched my phone again. "Where you even get this because I know damn well I didn't buy it for you." I just stared at her completely terrified and stuck. "FUCKING SPEAK!" I flinched, "I-I b-bought it myself." She looked at me and took another deep breath, "How?" I looked away, "I got a job.." I said it just above a whisper. Her face is still stone cold, "Who were you talking to?" I whispered, "My mom." Her face immediately went soft and she chuckled. "Oh... Well I'm sorry for yelling but where is she?" I just shook my head. She sighed and gave my phone back and walked out. I lied on my bed and started texting my mom.

Sorry the girl I'm staying with needed me.

Mom: It's okay sweetie I miss you so much. Oh and don't you worry about me I'm fine.

I have to your alone with him. But it won't take long I'm saving up so I can come get you.

After that my phone never went off. She left me on read, it hurt. That night I went straight to sleep not wanting to be in reality anymore.

Chase's POV

I left not because I was mad but because I was curious. I went to my bro CJ and asked him to find out information on Jas and that's what he did. He gave me a small ass folder. Like damn shawty don't do shit.

I sat on my bed and opened her folder. She was arrested once, but she was let go with a warning for shoplifting? Are you deadass right now. I went over her mothers files and everything was clean. Her father was different he was in the system. In and out of jail with domestic violence charges. Wow okay. I got bored so I decided it was time for answers. I went in her room and she was silent. She was sleeping, I walked over to her and grabbed her phone. Mmm no password okay. I went threw everything and then saw her strand of messages with Roxie...

Roxie😐: Hey ma wyd?

Don't call me "ma". But non just chillN. Hbu?

Roxie😐: My fault, um you wanna hang out sometime?

Nah.

I chuckled to myself she dubbed her hard. She even gave her a dry ass emoji. I clicked on her moms name and read through those messages. And only one thing caught my eye. "But it won't take long I'm saving up so I can come get you." She's planning on leaving me.. I instantly got angry. I took her pillow if I couldn't keep her no one can and I went to smother her. She moved and whimpered like she was having a bad dream. I couldn't kill her my heart wouldn't let me. I felt powerless when it came to her. I put her phone back on the charger and put her pillow down. I noticed she was crying silently in her sleep. I bent down and kissed her cheek. I went to the other side of her and gently lied in her bed not under her blanket, I know she'd freak out. I pulled her close and held her. She quickly wrapped her arm around me and nuzzled her face in my neck. I kissed her forehead and whispered in her ear, "I promise I'll never hurt you or let anyone else hurt you." And with that I went to sleep.

6:30am

I woke up to an alarm ugh I grab Jas's phone and turn it off. We are not going to school today. I decided late last night I wanted to make her feel special. I got up and rushed out of her room and took a shower and got dressed. I went downstairs making sure not to make a sound and started breakfast. I made pancakes and bacon and sausage with eggs and fruit. As I was trying to clean up I knocked over almost every pan on the counter.

Jas POV

I heard a loud bang and shot up I looked at the time and realized it's 8:00. I'm real late so I hop up and take a shower and get dressed. I head downstairs and see Chase in the kitchen. I walked in and leaned in the doorway and watched her. She was trying to hurry up and clean. "Umm wyd?" She jumped getting pancake batter on her face. I started laughing and her face dropped. "Stop laughing at me now." This made me laugh even harder. I could tell she was getting angry. "You know what fuck you I was trying to be nice and cook YOU breakfast but you're just so ungrateful get the fuck out NOW!" I slowly walked up to her and grabbed a rag and wet it. "I'm not laughing at you. I'm laughing at the scene. Thank you for making me breakfast." I wipe her face not realizing how close we were. I quickly backed away and looked at the food. It was burnt. "Umm why don't we go to IHOP?" She looked at me and laughed, "Yeah ok."

We get seated and the waiter comes over. She starts eyeing Chase, "Hello my names Cassidy I'll be your waitress this morning can we start with drinks?" The whole time she was smiling and staring at Chase. Chase finally ordered, "Uh yeah I'll have orange juice." She smiled and went to walk off until Chase stopped her, "Yo excuse me you didn't get hers." She rolled her eyes slightly and turned around, "Watchu want?" I took a deep breath and said "Orange juice please." She walked away. We eventually get our drinks and food and began to eat.

The waitress came back and handed Chase the check while making sure to touch her hand in the process. I don't know why but I was pissed. I didn't like this bitch. I took the check and saw her number on it. I rolled my eyes while she payed and when we went to walk out that Cassidy girl touched her arm and started to rub up on it. I turned around seeing her whisper in her ear and Chase smirking. I quickly yoked Chase up by her hair and put her behind me, "She's MINE!"
