"Ahem..." I look up and see Roxie. Shit....

My breath gets stuck in my throat and I freeze. She walks closer to me and says "Hey babygirl." I take a step back and she goes and puts her arms around Jamie. And they do a simple kiss and Jamie starts blushing. "This is my girlfriend Roxie." I shake this sick feeling I have and give my best fake smile, "How'd you guys meet?" She laughs and says, "That girl I've been texting on instagram for the last year and a half." Oh shit, Roxie's the girl my best friend has been in love with. I messed up. She's gonna hate me for being with her. I look down and laugh, "Oh yeah Jamie I remember. I have to go though." I gave her a quick hug and basically jog away.

I walk out of the school and I see Chase walking to her car. "Chase! Wait." She turns and walks over to me. "What's wrong?" I look down at my fingers, "Where ya going?" She rolls her eyes and sighs, "Listen I don't have time for this right now I have to go." I simply nod and walk over to the car and she locks the doors. "You can't come." I rolled my eyes and left. If she doesn't want me around I'm not gonna be around. I walk into the lunch room and sat by myself. I decided to just have a salad for lunch. I'm just enjoying my lunch when this fine ass girl sits with me. "I'm Leo. You are?" I looked up and smiled. "I'm Jas short for Jasmine." I swear this girl talked my ear off the entire lunch period. I can't complain though she's cute funny and I need more friends. "So Jas I have to go I have early dismissal but I would love to see you again. You have my number make sure you use it." She winked at me and left. I just sit there wondering how shawty got a hold of my phone. I get up and just decide to leave school all together.

1 year later....

I finally got enough money saved up to move out and into my apartment. I'm so excited because this past year has been difficult. Chase hasn't even looked my way all year. She just brings girls home and then leaves. Roxie is still with Jamie but Jamie doesn't come around anymore. She said she can't talk to me anymore. Really bitch.? The only good thing about this year was Leo. She's my best friend and the only one who knows about me moving out.

I packed all my things and put them in Leo's car. I'm trying to leave before Chase comes back. I'm tired of fighting.

We pull up to my apartment and it's not the nicest but it's okay. Leo helps me get my stuff inside and then leaves. I spend all day unpacking and finally I'm done. I have ramen for dinner and call it a night.

I toss and turn all night. I need to get my mom out that house. I check the time and it's 2:30 am I know my mom not sleep she never sleeps. I decided to call her just to make sure she's okay.

Ring ring riiinng...

Mom: "H-hello?"

"Ma are you okay?"

Mom: "U-uh um y-yeah I'm fine Jas. I gotta go. Bye."

With that she hung I jumped up and put clothes on. I know damn well she's not okay. I go to the one place I'm trying avoid Chases house.

I bang on the door and she answers half naked. Ugh. "What do you want Jasmine?" I push my way in and look at her. "I need your help Chase can you just listen to me?" She looked at me up and down and sighed, "You left. Why?" It took everything in me not to beat the shit out of her, "Listen this is not about us right now I need you to take me back to my moms house. It's important Chase." She rolled her eyes and went and put clothes on we were about to leave when a girl came down stairs. "Where are you going?" She came and started rubbing up on Chase. I don't have time for this shit. They were having a whole fucking conversation. The girl started kissing on Chase and I lost it. I grabbed shawty by the hair and just started stomping the girl. I felt bad that was unnecessary, whatever. I let her go and grabbed Chase and brought her to her car and got in.

We pulled up to my old house and it looked even worse. Windows all broke. Most of the windows were boarded up. "You sure this your moms house?" I just looked at her. I got out the car and walked in. Everything was destroyed. Oh god. You couldn't even live in this shit. I heard crying so I walked upstairs and into my moms room. I saw her she looked rough. Hair matted and all over the place she looked dirty. I whispered to her, "Mom?" When she turned around I couldn't believe what I was looking at. "Oh my god ma what did you do?"
