The bell rings and everyone runs out of the school. "Hey!" Light runs up to me.

I smile and kiss her forehead. "Hey love, ready to finally go home?" I laugh as we walk.

"Yessss. And do the tree tonight!" she smiles.

"Yea, but we gotta do it before you have to go home" I push open the door for us.

She nods. "I know. So we can do it in three hours?"

"That's fine" I say and open the door up for her.

She gets in and we speed home.

"I'm freaking out" Light cries.

I look at her in confusion. "What's wrong?"

"Everything! Everything's wrong!" she wines.

I take her hand and sit her down. "Tell me"

"I can't! I can't!" she wipes her tears. "If I do, you'll kill me!"

"Kill is an exaggeration with you. I'll kill anyone but the people I love" I wink.

She groans. "Take me seriously!"

"I won't kill you. Remember, you can tell me anything, Light. We're a team" I rub her side.

"No... no this is different" she cries. And before I can speak, she cuts me off. "Can we please decorate the tree? It'll make me feel better"

I nod with a sad smile. "Yea of course, I'll get the ornaments from the attic" I say and she nods, calming herself. I walk into the hallway and pull down the string to the attic. Once it's down, I walk up the stairs and grab the three boxes full of ornaments.

"Oooo! They're pretty!" Light coos.

She's bipolar I swear.

"Let's start decorating before it gets dark and you have to go home" I say and she nods.

We each grab a box and start decorating. "This tree is tall" she goes on her tippy toes.

"Here" I laugh and swoop under her, picking her up and putting her on my shoulders.

"Ahh!" she laughs and I chuckle. "Okay okay be steady!"

"I won't let you fall" I laugh. "I'm six five and I'm two hundred pounds"

"My man" she ruffles my hair and I laugh. "Okay, to the left to the left" she sings.

I shake my head and move. "This good?"

"Yep!" she nods and continues putting up ornaments.

"Damn" I yawn.

Once she finishes, I let her down and wrap my arm around her side, smiling at her as she admires the tree.
