Ever read about a side character in a book or movie and then immediately wish it was the main character instead..?  Like Neville Longbottom in Harry Potter.. or Mikoto Misaka in a A Certain Magical Index... or maybe Samwise Gamgee in Lord of the Rings... I mean honestly I would've pushed Frodo into the volcano the moment he said "The Ring is Mine Now."

And at the moment.. where this story is concerned... I really wish I wasn't the main character.  The Main character is the one who all the crap happens to.. and the thrill of playing video games and watching movies is being able to go through all the crap without actually going through all the crap... but here I am now..  going through crap.. you're welcome everyone..

Anyways.. where was I? Oh yeah.. the Police Sentinels Precinct.

Eleanor drove us over to the main building in her squad car.. and much to my amazement, the very building itself was one tremendous towering skyscraper. I was pretty sure that none of the police in my world got such huge digs.

I for one, had visited 1 Police Plaza in New York, and it was nowhere near as big and nice looking.

The sentinels here deal with deployments regarding all the cities in Varismalia." explained Eleanor as we went of the front steps. The Commissioner doesn't just address local city issues but those of surrounding villages and towns that depend on sentinels for their protection."

The inside of the building was filled with desks and sentinels moving to and fro. When not in their armor, apparently many of the sentinels wore padded combat outfits of light to dark blue, dealing with paperwork and muttering to each other as they typed away at terminals, checking mugshots of known felons.

There were Cait Siths, humans, Elves, even a few Kobolds. Of course, there didn't seem to be any demon sentinels though.. which I didn't find surprising sadly enough.

We passed by a few Sentinels which were bringing in a white haired youth in handcuffs. To my shock, I saw my first up close view of a demon other than myself.. the closest I had ever gotten..

His eyes were like mine, yellow and mirror-like.. beautiful, with slits like a cat.. his hair snow white. he looked my age, but I could tell he was probably much older than me because he had fangs protruding when he gritted his teeth angrily at the sentinels holding him... He seemed to be a normal citizen, as he wore a gray t-shirt with a Berry Cola logo and a pair of very baggy cargo pants and sneakers.

As we passed him, I slowed my pace so I could get a good look at him.

"Welp.. we caught this one defacing the memorial area to the war.. spray paint.. the usual crap." said one of the sentinels to the officer managing the front desk.

"That's a load of bull.." growled the demon guy. "Besides.. that memorial's a load of lies.. where are all the names of the demons that were tortured in prisons before you finally won your little war eh?"

"Another idealist..?" muttered the second sentinel. "Please.."

The sergeant at the desk sighed. "Sever.. this is the 3rd time this week.. you can't just go defacing monuments 12 times a month.. and expect us to show sympathy just because you cry racist!"

"HA! Nice to see you too copper.." said Sever with a laugh. "Fine fine.. I admit it.. I'm correcting the goddamn travesty this stupid city of lies likes to concoct-... huh..?"

Sever's eyes widened as he saw me pass... then he grinned and winked. "Well well well.. what are you doing here? I don't often see a cutie like you in these parts..? What trumped up charge have they got you here on?"
