Okay.. so.. when you last left me, I was crying on the floor and totally wanting to kill myself..
Well good news.. I think I'm about to die..
Bad news, I think my friends are also about to die with me.
I awoke to find the room on fire.. a giant blast of flames exploding from Slater's clawed hand barely missed me.. obliterating a book shelf in a tremendous explosion as I saw Vel somersault away
"Meh?" I muttered as heat raked the place.
"MASTER!! MASTER PLEASE GET UP!!" I felt two chains rub against my back, Melia was there, trying to shake me awake, the light of the flames glinting on her blade. "WE NEED TO GO!!"
"Whazzuh?" I grumbled drowsily.
"HRRRAAAAH!!" Vel let out a vicious cry as she brought out both Rime and Blaze in their sword forms.. flames and icy wind gushing out in torrents as she kicked off from the ceiling, launching herself at Slater from above at incredible speed.
"KAAABOOOMMMMM!!" Slater brought up his wrist, hardened scales growing over his arm instantly and blocking the two powerful blades.
A massive shockwave blasted out from where the attack was blocked, so powerful, that I was sent flying into the other side of the room with Melia.. the two of us crashing into the wall.
"UGAH!" I was now fully awake, standing up quickly. "Wh.. WHAT!? M.. Melia what's happening!?"
"Long story short, we realized you were right, Freyalvia didn't like that, now she's trying to kill us!! " said Melia. "And there are a thousand things I want to say to you right now.. like how you're my only partner.. and I'd never replace you... and... and.. and I'M SORRY.. I.. I'M SO VERY SORRY.. I LOVE YOU! I... I DON'T DESERVE YOU!.. AND.."
"Y.. YEAH I GET IT I GET IT!" I stammered, though on the inside I felt a large balloon of newfound joy and tears starting to build up in my chest.. this was hardly the place for hugging and making up...
"SLATER... YOU TRAITOR!!" Vel screamed, shaking me awake some more.
Vel was hurling her dual gun blades around in a dance of deadly speed.. she was moving so fast and gracefully with Rime and Blaze, that she looked like she was dancing with silvery orange shooting stars.. the orange streaks resulting from the two blades reflecting the orange light of the flames.
Vel's skill, and deadly precise strikes were terrifying to behold. If I weren't a skilled Kaiju Wielder who already had around half an academy semester of experience under her belt, I would've just stared and went "ooooh.. ahhhh.. anime fight.."
But with my newfound experience and ability to observe strikes and attacks with more expertise.. I could see now that at her full strength, Vel was a deadly monster.. NO other warrior could aim her strikes with such fluid motions and still hit her target EXACTLY.
Couple that with her unusual massive physical strength, and her insane reflexes, then basically she was a lady that could take Chuck Norris AND Bruce Lee in with one hand and beat the living crap out of them.
But Slater, he was a whole other level of crazy. Using the hardened molten Daemon scales on his wrists, he parried each and every one of Vel's attacks, moving at his own deadly speed. I remember from Crypto Biology Class how Fabian said that normal Daemons had already had a history of taking down and killing experienced Knight Graduates..
Well... this Elder Daemon, he was strong enough to match Vel and THEN some.. and that was saying something.
Vel coughed up saliva as suddenly Slater moved like lightning and hurled a deadly kick into her chest, sending her flying.
