The rest of the week went pretty fast. Besides from work, I kept myself busy by packing my belongings and working on some drawings for possible potiental tattoos for my clients.

I avoided my father as much as possible. The less I was around him the better. I was tired of seeing his face and listening to his crude remarks.

I was so glad when Friday finally arrived. Moving Day! This was it. Even though I have been basically on my own for most of my life, I won't have to deal with my father anymore. I can do whatever I want, whenever I want. And...it is the way I preferred it.

Mike and Tony, two of my best friends came to help me move my stuff to my new apartment. My father wasn't home yet, so we did it quickly while he wasn't there.

I was amazed how large the condo was for being on the tenth floor. It wasn't as fancy as I thought it would be but rather cozy instead. Definitely different from what I was use to living in. My father always had to have the best of everything. He had to live in mansions, drive expensive cars and have customized furniture.

He was all about showing off how much money he had. I never really cared about being rich, money wasn't everything to me. I just wanted a normal life and to be out of the spotlight.

All of the walls in the apartment were painted a light beige color with white trim. Most of the flooring was done in hardwood oak, except for the bathrooms and kitchen which had a sand colored tile.

There was beige carpeting in each of the bedrooms and a large beige area rug with a earth tone geometrical pattern in the living room.

The pictures on the walls had a beige, brown and green abstract design and the few candles and figurines in the same colors.

When coming through the main door, the first thing you see is the main living area. A large medium brown suede sectional couch and a matching chair sat directly in the middle of the room which faced an oak fireplace with a flat screen TV that hung above it.

The kitchen and dining room were divided by a half wall. On the kitchen side, all the appliances were stainless steel. The cabinets were an off-white color wood with dark brown granite countertops. In the middle of the kitchen was a island with the same type of wood and countertop. The dining area side had a small round oak table with four chairs and a hutch.

Down the hall, off from the living room were two decent size bedrooms; the master bedroom and a guest room.

The master bedroom had a oak wood queen size bed with matching dressers. A walk in closet and a bathroom with a walk-in shower, the cabinet and sink countertop was the same as the kitchens. The guest room had a fullsize bed with oak wood furniture also. It had no closet nor a bath.

The main bathroom was located in between the two bedrooms. It also had a walk-in shower plus a jacuzzi bathtub. The cabinets and sink countertop was the same as the kitchen and other bath.

But, the best part of the apartment was the balcony that was accessable through the sliding glass doors from the living room. It overlooked the city, and was a beautiful sight to see.
