Monday morning came way sooner than I wanted it to. I was still a bit tired from the eventful weekend that I had. Turning off my alarm, I climbed out of bed and took a shower. I decided to wear something that was a bit more business casual. I threw on a black skirt, light blue laced top and my black heels. I fixed my hair up into a messy bun and put some mascara on before going downstairs to get some breakfast.

"Good Morning Mom...Dad," giving them each a kiss on the cheek. Grabbing a egg sandwich and a coffee to go, "I should be home around 5:30...love you both."

"Bye sweetie, have a good day" Mom replied, "I love you too."

"Have a great day, baby girl." Dad answered, "see you when you get home."

Eating my sandwich on the way out to my car, I was glad my car finally got finished at the end of the week. I hopped in the driver's seat and headed towards the highway. Pulling on to Lemmy Boulevard, I drove past a few department stores until I came upon the parking garage connected to Schofield Inc. Parking my car in the first empty space that I found, I got out and headed inside of the office.

"Good morning, Miss Jensen."  greeted the receptionist.

   "Good morning... ?" I asked.

   "Ashley," she smiled.

"Good morning, Ashley," I smiled back as I got on the elevator.

Mr. Schofield's office was located on the fifth floor outside of the elevator. Inside the glass doors was a sitting area with a couch, two chairs and square coffee table. On the one side of the wall was a flat screen TV that hung on the wall. A counter by my desk had a industrial coffee maker with two burners. I made one pot with coffee and the other just water for tea.

I grabbed my large memo pad and a ink pen from my desk. I poured a black tea for Mr. Schofield, then knocked on his door waiting for the okay to enter.

"Come in," I heard him yell through the door,"Ah...good morning, Miss Jensen," he said with a smile.

"Good morning, Mr. Schofield, here is your tea," I smiled setting the mug on his desk as I sat in one of the leather chairs across from his desk.

"First of all," he informed me, "I know HR gave you a list of your duties," I watched as he rubbed his hands together, "but, I need you to disregard that because I will be sending your days agenda through your email."

   "Okay, sir," I answered.

"I'm glad to see that you brought your memo pad with you this morning," he continued, "what I need to discuss with you is a very important event that our company does every year."

I nodded as I got my pen and paper ready to take some notes, "Alright sir, I'm ready whenever you are," I said with a smile.

"Every year we have a charity ball to raise money for The Burtoncliff Orphanage to help with the medical expenses and school fundings along with any personal things the children may need."

"That's quite generous of the company to do that for those children," I said with admiration.

"Yes, it is a very good cause," he said in a sad tone while staring down at his desk. He seemed to be in deep thought. I wondered to myself where his mind went for those few seconds. Looking back up at me with a small smile, "So, what I need for you to do, is to find the place for the event, make arrangements with a catering company. I will give you the number to our party planner Mrs. Stull, she will be able to help you with all this."
