ingrid;
When she woke up the next day, she could barely speak. Her throat was very sore and her eyes were running. She knew that she had to go outside to buy Advil and cough drops. She slowly found her way out of the bed and called in sick from school, then she put on a thick sweater and a pair of warm pants. She put her coat and scarf on before she grabbed her wallet, walking to the grocery store a few blocks away.
As she entered the store 'Fairytale Of New York' were playing from the speakers. She grabbed a basket and started her little shopping spree. She grabbed the things she forgot about the day before. Things like, baby spinach, tofu, milk, eggs, ice cream, hot chocolate mix and canned whipped cream. Finally she grabbed the medicine and went to the checkout. She walked back to her apartment in a fact pace, the brown paper bag heavy in her hand. She walked inside of her warm apartment with a huff and took her coat off, hanging it on a clothing hanger. She put her scarf on the shelf before she walked inside, starting to unpack the groceries. When she had done that she went back to her bed and turned her TV on, opening netflix. She chose the movie Elf and pressed play. Thirty minutes into the movie she started drifting of to sleep.
The sound of her doorbell woke her up from her deep sleep. Her eyes looked at the TV infront of her. 'are you still there?' She quickly put on christmas chronicles before she walked towards the door. She carefully opened it only to see a delivery man. His white hair were slicked back and he had a bushy white mustache on his upper lip.
"Are you Ingrid Coochie?" He asked and Ingrid choked down a laugh.
"I'm sorry sir, do you mean Ingrid Carter?" She asked in a hoarse voice. The old man looked at the package again and smiled as he turned towards Ingrid.
"Oh i'm so sorry my dear, this is a delivery from S.H.I.E.L.D" he said and handed her the medium sized package. "You just have to sign this." he said and handed her a paper. she signed it and gave it back to the man with a smile on her face. "Good bye and happy holidays." he smiled.
"Same to you! Bye bye!" Ingrid said and closed the door after him. "Ingrid Coochie, Jesus Christ" she mumbled to herself, laughing quietly. She placed the package on her kitchen table before grabbing a knife and slid it over the tape, opening the brown package. A note laid on the top of the object. 'In case you need to defend yourself, love Sharon' . Ingrid frowned at the note before she grabbed the cool object from the bottom of the box. She pulled it up and stared at it. A black gun were laying in her hand. She breathed out as she put it back in the box, now spotting several ammunition boxes. She grabbed her phone and dialed Sharon's number.
"Helloooo" Sharon said happily from the other end
"Jesus Christ Sharon, a gun, really?"
"Why not? I want you to be protected at all costs, little one." Ingrid could basically hear the smirk on Sharon's lips.
"Yeah, whatever" Ingrid said before falling into a fit of hoarse coughs.
"Hey, are you okey?" Sharon asked, worry clear in her smooth voice.
"Yeah yeah i'm fine, just a little sick, that's all."
"Do you want me to come over? I have a day off and i don't want you to-"
"Sharon! I'm fine, I don't want you getting sick as well." Ingrid smiled. "I'm just going back to bed anyways." She said before starting to cough again, gasping for air.
"That's it, I'm on my way-"
"No no no, I'm fine, okey? You don't have to worry." She said and after a minute or two they said their goodbyes to each other and Ingrid went back to bed.
