"Ashton should I just wear shorts and like a nirvana tank top or something?"
"Yeah sounds good."
"Okay."
"I better be going."
"Okay I'll let you know what happens after."
"Yeah yeah and this time I don't need so much detail."
"Shut up and leave already." I joke.
"I'm going I'm going."
"Byeeee Ash." I waved to him.
"It's 20:55..." Ashton said opening the door.
"Oh hi Luke." Ashton said as he was leaving.
I run down the stairs and trip over my feet. I thought I was about to face plant on the floor. Instead I fall into Luke.
"I've got you." Luke softly says.
"Okayy I'm going to leave now." Ashton said.
We both wave to Ashton.
"Thanks."
"A little nervous?"
"A little." I squeak.
"Why you don't need to be nervous around me."
I just smile and nod.
"Shall we go?" He had his hand out.
What a gentleman.
I opened the car door. I was too nervous to talk so I kept quiet.
"So you're probably wondering where we're going right?" Luke spoke up.
I just nod.
"Nina you have to talk to me. Are you mad at me?"
"I know. I'm not mad I'm just nervous."
He placed his hand on my thigh. "Look Nina you don't have to be nervous, okay?" He didn't take his eyes off the road.
I felt all the butterflies go away.
"Okay." I cleared my throat. "Where are we going then?"
"You'll find out when we get there." He smirked.
"You suck." I playfully smack his arm.
"Actually we're here." He smiles.
"A lake?"
"No it's a park. I used to come down here when I was younger. It's my favourite place to come. Like I would just come here and think things out, ya know?"
"Yeah I get it." I smiled.
"Let's go."
"Okay." I smiled.
He grabbed a blanket from his trunk and chocolate covered strawberries?
"Come on let's go over by that big oak tree, yeah?"
I smiled. And just followed him. He laid out the blankets and patted his hand down telling me to sit.
"I brought chocolate covered strawberries because I know they're your favourite." He gave me a cheeky smile.
"Yes they are." I laughed and took one.
We talked about pointless things. I wasn't nervous the whole time. It was actually fun.
"Hey Nina get up."
"What? Why?"
"Let's go swimming." He smiled.
"Luke you just told me to wear a tank top and shorts. I don't have my swim suit."
"It's okay. Either do I." He said taking his red flannel and black shirt off.
"You only wanted to hang out to see me in my bra and underwear." I cross my arms over my chest like a little child.
"No. Well I mean I would like to but that's not all I think about. I didn't even think about swimming until you said lake. If you want we can go back and get your swim suit."
"No it's fine." I started to unbutton my shorts.
"It's okay if you don't want-" Luke started but I jumped in.
"Luke it's fine!" I said it a little louder.
Luke jumped in only in his boxers.
"Luke Luke Luke don't!" I laughed.
He wrapped his legs around my waist and his arms around my neck.
"Luke you're such a girl."
We stared at each other for a while. He leaned down and connected his lips to mine. It was perfect. I think I love him. Do I love him? I don't know I think I do. He pulled back and broke me of my thoughts.
"Sorry but I had to kiss you. I really lo-like you."
"Were you going to say love?"
"Uh yeah but I corrected myself."
"Do you?" I regret asking.
This chapter was shit but it's kind of important because it's for the next chapter. I said this in the last chapter but the book is almost over!
