Chapter 2: Joyous Moments

The person slowly moves towards them and their suspense increases. "Who are you?", asked Alya. "I'm someone you know well but you have failed to recognise me", said the mysterious man. The person slowly removes the mask and says, "come on guys it's me". "Aryaman! We were so horrified", Nandini claimed. "Yes guys it's me", said Aryaman as they all giggled. "By the way, when did you come here?", Manik asked. "Well I came here just today and I just realised that it's Abir's birthday, and Just came to wish him. I didn't know there was a party", Aryaman answered. "Navya I think we should cut the cake now. The kids must be hungry", Alya interrupted. Navya agreed and announced the cake cutting ceremony. Everyone gathered and sang the usual birthday song. Everyone fed Abir the cake and had dinner. After the party ended, the group sat down and had a chat.

*conversation in the group after the party*

Mukti: "This is like a reunion. I swear I feel so happy."
Nandini: "Yeah, it got me back to those good old college days. When we used to have fun. Guys, don't you think we should all visit college. I mean let's go and see how much the college has changed, let's meet the teachers and principal. It'll be fun. What do you think guys?"
Alya: "I think you're right Nandini. It has been so long since I saw college. Let's go tomorrow guys."
Everyone agrees with Alya and Nandini.
Manik: "Um, Nandini I think we should leave now. It's quite late."
Nandini: "Yeah, I think we should. Chacha and Chachi must be waiting."
Dhruv: "Alya I think we should also leave."
Alya agrees
Manik: "So we will all meet at college tomorrow? 11am?"
They all agree to Manik and leave to go to their respective homes

*conversation between Dhruv and Alya on their way to their house*

Dhruv: "Alya, do you remember how I used to be when I was jealous of Manik?"
Alya: "Yeah you were totally crazy." As she giggled
Dhruv: "Yes I was. I wasn't thinking back then. But now I really know you. I know how much you love. We may fight but our love for each other will always be stronger."
Alya: "Yes! Forever! Hey let's go have some ice cream. I feel like eating ice cream."
Dhruv agrees and takes her to the ice cream shop

*Conversation between Manik and Nandini on their way to Nandini's house*

Nandini: "Manik, you know now I'm starting to think about those good old college days and the struggle our love went through before getting to this point."
Manik: "Yes. Our love went through a lot of struggles but in the end we are together and that's all that matters."
Nandini: "Yes. Manik, don't you think we should fix the date for our marriage?"
Manik: "Well, I was thinking about that and I was thinking if I could come to your house for breakfast tomorrow to talk to Chachi and Chacha about this."
Nandini: "I think that's perfect."
Manik:"Yes, this is going to be the beginning of a new chapter of our lives together. I can't wait."
Nandini: "Me too! Oh look we're here."
Manik stops the car
Nandini: "Ok Mr. Malhotra, thank you for the ride. See you tomorrow"
Manik grabs her hand and asks her to say bye properly with a goodnight kiss. He tries his luck as usual but he fails to get it.

In the morning at Nandini's house

Manik arrives at Nandini's house. Chachi and Chacha warmly welcome him. Nandini enthusiastically comes down and greets Manik. Chachi invites everyone to the dining table and serves breakfast. As she serves Manik begins to talk.
*Conversation*
Manik: " So Chacha and Chachi I wanted to talk about something. Nandini and I were thinking if we could get married as soon as possible."
Chacha: "Yes! Why not? It's a good thought. We are fine whenever you guys want but it should be as soon as possible."
Chachi agrees with Chacha
Manik: "Ok so we will think about a date for next month or the following month. And yes, I had another important thing to talk about. After Nandini and I get married, I will do everything for you guys and Rishab."
Chachi: " What is the need Manik? I mean Murthyji already works and he earns enough money to fulfil our necessary needs."
Manik: "Yes Chachi I know but I don't want you guys to feel like Nandini is no more with you. I also want to contribute to whatever Nandini is doing for this house before marriage. I also promise that Nandini will always come and meet you all every week."
Chachi: "You just win our heart everytime you talk. You are so sensible and mature. Thank you Manik. Please take care of our Nandu." As she gets emotional
Nandini comes and consoles her. She promises that she will come to meet them at least once a week or even more than that. They all get filled up with joy and happiness. Nandini and Manik leave for the college reunion.

In SPACE College

They all arrive in college and start looking around. Their eyes fill with tears of joy as they recall the days when they were students of SPACE college. They all meet the principal and have a chat with him. Then they all visit the canteen to have lunch. As they are all having lunch, Manik announces his and Nandini's wedding fixed for next month or the following month. They all congratulate Manik and Nandini. They all celebrate this happiness with ordering ice cream as a subtitle for cake. Their hearts are filled with joy and happiness although they do not know what is coming ahead of them.
