Chapter 1: The Chaotic Party

Nandini's House

"Nandu! Nandu!", Nandini's Chacha (uncle) shouts as she gets ready for Abir's 6th birthday party. Panicked Nandini hears the sound of a car horning. "Oh shit! It's Manik!", says Nandini as she anxiously tries to hurry. She rushes down the stairs and quickly open the door, apologising to her one and only, Monster Manik. He seems very angry but as usual, Nandini manages to calm him down with her cute sorry. "Can we go or are we going to spend the night talking over here?", Manik claimed. Nandini informs her Chacha and Chachi (uncle and aunt) that she is leaving for the party. Manik and Nandini leave for the party.

In the car

*Conversation between Manik and Nandini during the journey to the party*

Nandini: "Manik, are you still angry at me?"
Manik: Angrily says, "what does it look like?"
Nandini: "Manik, I'm really sorry. I got late because I had so much work in the lab and I came home late. I'm sorry na, please forgive me."
Manik: "It's fine. I can't even stay angry at you. Once I see you, I just forget everything."
Nandini: *blushes and smiles* "We are here. Stop the car!"

Manik stops the car immediately. They both get out of the car and start moving to the party.

At Dhruv's house

Alya, the beautiful doll like always. Getting dolled up for the party. The man of her life, Dhruv, just looked astonished as she walked down the stairs in a red, shiny dress. "You look beautiful" , Dhruv claimed while staring at her and catching his breathe. Alya giggled. Dhruv grabbed her waist, put her hair behind her ear and gave her a cute and sweet kiss on her cheek. Alya blushed and whispered, "we're getting late". "So?", said Dhruv as he dives in for a kiss. Simultaneously, a phone rings and ruins their romantic moment. "It's Manik", said upset Dhruv as Alya giggled. Dhruv picks up the call and Manik asks him where he is. Dhruv says they are just leaving and hangs up. Alya and Dhruv leave for the party.

Mukti's House

"Baby!", said a ghostly voice, coming from behind Mukti. Mukti screams in fear as she sees the a person resembling a ghost. Zubin, quickly removes the white sheet and shows her that it is him and not a ghost. He quickly gives her a warm hug to calm her down. They hear their baby crying as they just start to get into the romantic mode. "Oh come on", sad Zubin claims as Mukti goes to her baby, Aman. Mukti feeds him and gets ready for the party quickly. Jeff enters their room and asks Mukti to help her with her dress as she is unable to zip it. Mukti tries to help Jeff but she is also unable to do. Mukti suggests that Jeff changes her dress. Jeff leaves the room as Zubin enters the room from the bathroom after changing. Mukti dresses up Aman. They all leave for the party.

At the party venue

Manik, Nandini and Navya start playing the games with the children as the three wait for the others.
Manik pulls Nandini away while playing the game. "Manik, what is it?", asked Nandini. "Why? Now you're my fiancé; I can be with you anytime, anywhere I want", Manik answered. Dhruv and Alya arrive at the party and handover Abir's gift to Navya. Dhruv calls for Manik and Nandini as soon as they start their romantic saga. Manik rolls his eyes as Nandini giggle and they both move away from there and join the others. "Where were you guys?", asked Manik. "Actually, Alya took time to get dressed so we got late", Dhruv answered. Mukti, Zubin, Jeff and Aman arrive. They all greet each other. "Navya, let's leave the kids to play here and let us to the sitting area", said Alya. They all agree to Alya and move to the sitting area. The children play games while the adults have their talks. "So Manik and Nandini, how does it feel to be engaged?", Zubin asked. "It feels great. I guess moving forward with our relationship and it just feels amazing to be together", Nandini answered. "Yeah, I totally agree. I mean more than a year ago I was hesitating to move forward with this relationship. Now I'm not scared", Manik continued as he holds Nandini's hand and looks into her eyes. "I think you guys are meant to be together", said Mukti. They all agree with Mukti. They all have a giggle. Mukti notices some outsider getting into the hall. The person is dressed up as a joker. She gets a bit tensed and tells the others about him. They all look towards him but they cannot recognise him as he changed his appearance. They all look for him but he's nowhere to be found. And then finally, Navya spots him in the middle of the hall. He looks very suspicious. They all give him an intense look.
