K so I'm really bad at descriptions but imma do my best giving advice on them.

Descriptions are very important to a book. Think of it like this: you are creating a picture in your readers' mind. You want the picture in their head to be as close to the one in your head as possible. If you don't have a good description, the readers will have no idea what to imagine.

First off, since your book takes place in Minecraft (if it doesn't, why are you here?), everything you describe should be things that exist in Minecraft, with some exceptions (such as cars).

So basically, describe the surroundings using Minecraft blocks. And make sure you know what the scene looks like before you start describing it, otherwise it can get confusing for both you and the readers.

Descriptions are good; however, too much description is bad. People will get bored after reading one paragraph made entirely of descriptions (again, with some exceptions). But too little description is also bad. Try to describe just enough so that the readers have a clear picture of what is going on without any extraneous details.

And if the scene is ever just too difficult to describe without things getting confusing, it doesn't hurt to put a picture of the scene in your book (if possible).

That's really all the advice I can think of. As you probably know from reading my books, I write the bare minimum of descriptions. Which isn't really a good thing. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Authors, leave any advice you have about writing descriptions here.

I'm probably ending this book soon because I'm basically out of things that I'm capable of giving advice on lmao

Thanks for reading, and don't forget to vote, comment, and follow!
