5 Years Later

Chapter 5

      The alarm clock is never a pleasing thing to awaken too, even if you set it a few hours after so you can sleep more. A pink tongue smacked the button then a black-green haired girl slowly rose out of bed, eyes tired and hair a tad messy. "Mmmm... 11:15...." She mumbles quietly then her eyes explode, "11:15!!! Oh no! I'm supposed to meet Izuku at 12 at the mall! Thats a 30 minute walk!" She wails and bolts out of bed.
      She normally enjoys long showers but had to stick with a quick one this time. Getting dressed was just as hard. Casual or formal? Both? "Oh man... why am I freaking out?! I'm just meeting Izuku at the mall... as friends. Nothing more. Relax." She says to herself and decides to dress up in a simple blue and white striped sundress along with a green bow across the middle. She fixes her hair to match the bow then books it to the kitchen to quickly make her a snack. "Banana and peanut butter? Why not." She mutters and quickly munches down on those before hopping out the door and speeds off to the mall in her sandals and dress.
      Izuku sits in a seat near the entrance of the mall and taps his leg nervously. "11:50... still isn't here? Man, chill out! She's just a little late.. that's all. I hope so... or maybe she just flaked out on me... ohhh maan..." he began to mutter to himself and people who passed became uncomfortable.
     Noticing his mutter he stops and feels flustered for freaking out and doing that again. "Whatever... it's fine anyway." He stands up before hearing the faint slapping of sandals against concrete.
      Looking over, he spots Tsuyu running at full speed in her sandals and dress, he hair flailing behind her. He then noticed her face, a face of relief yet stress. She also wasn't wearing makeup but Izuku didn't care.
     "Izuku! Am I on time? I overslept and ran as fast as I could here..." she says quickly then stops to breath.
      Izuku chuckles and wipes his brow, relieved that she showed up. "Heheh. You're fine, Tsu! Just on time actually." He taps his watch as it read 12:00 pm exactly.
     With a soft laugh, she sat up and smiled warmly at him. "Oh good. I wouldn't want to miss this." She adds then grabs Izuku's hand and leads him inside.
     "O-oh! O-o-okay!" He stutters and follows close behind her, feeling her hand in his and his face heat up as well. "Oh jeeze..." he mutters quietly and tries to stay calm.
     Tsuyu feels him shake a little from holding his hand and she smiles. "If you don't want me to hold your hand you can just say so." She comments and glances at him with her big eyes.
Izuku felt his stomach tie up in several places at once as he stared at her back but enjoyed it. He swallowed then shook his head and gripped her hand back. "No. This is f-fine." He replies and looks back ahead, pretending that his face isn't red.
"Okay." She says bluntly then hugs his arm, feeling the heat radiate from his glowing red face down to her.
She enjoyed messing with him if it meant she could hold him close. Knowing Izuku, he is probably going along with this to keep her happy but that still doesn't mean he feels the same way, which saddened the frog girl a little.
"O-okay. Which s-store first?" Izuku asked quietly, his widened eyes darting around the mall's many stores.
Shrugging, she pointed to a book store and Izuku quickly led her there, sighing in relief once she let go to look at the many books. 'Should I ask him again today..?' She begins to think before stealing a peek at him from her book.
He had his face buried in a book about All Might and the other heros, which she presumed he already owned but decided to read anyway. Giggling quietly, she returns to her book a nods. 'Tonight. Yes.'
