Breakfast consisted of a light omelette and some tea mostly. Since Tsuyu would accompany him to his mothers home for lunch, it would be best not to eat a heavy breakfast this late.
"Izu. What is your mother like?" Tsuyu asks, washing their dishes as Izuku cleans the table.
"Oh. She's a lot like me. I actually think I got my nervous stutter from her. As well as my worrisome attitude, heheh." He laughs a bit then throws the paper towel away, staring at the clean table.
Tsuyu finishes the dishes and sighs, holding onto the sink edges. "That's good... I was worried that she would be a little... hesitant towards the idea of her only son dating. Sorry, heheh." She laughs it off and rubs her arm, walking over to grab a hanging light-blue purse with a lilly-pad pin hanging on the flap.
Izuku was just looking around the house from the front door. He was staring at the photos and rubbing his fingers, deep in thought. "C'mon, Izu. We don't want to miss the train, do we?" Tsuyu's voice broke him out if his trance and he quickly nodded.
"Oh right. Sorry, I was just thinking. Let's go!" He opens the door for her and takes one final look around the house before he closed it after
                             -Time Skip-
Inko Midoriya, Izuku's mother, was cleaning up her house. Dusting here and there and occasionally readjusting some decorations on her fireplace. After Izuku graduated and moved into his own apartment, she decided to move into a nice little home near the more rural side of Japan. Not too far from Tokyo, but also far enough to be a nice quiet place.
As Inko started the fireplace, she heard a firm few knocks on her door. "Coming! Just a minute!" She called out, quickly slipping on her slippers and scurries to the door.
"Izuku! My Baby!" She yells as she drags Izuku into a big hug.
"Heheh. Hi mom! It's great to see you again!" He hugs her back just as tight and laughs.
Inko began rambling on and on about how she's missed him until she spots a green haired girl standing behind him. "I-Izuku! Who's this? A friend?" She asked, smiling a bit at Tsuyu.
Tsuyu waves her hand, which is much larger than Inko's as well, and smiles. "I'm Tsuyu Asui. Just call me Tsu, if you will." She shuts her eyes happily and was immediately enveloped by a tight hug from the short mother.
"I remember you! You were classmates with my Izuku, yes?!" Inko asked her quickly, taking Tsuyu's hands and holding them.
"Uh, yeah. We've been friends since year one of school." She replies and noticed how happy Inko was just hearing those words.
Inko then began to squirm happily and hugged them both. "Well come on in you two! I have snacks and lunch waiting on the table." She says as she leads them both inside.
Izuku and Tsuyu just laugh a bit and were greeted by the homey smell of a fireplace roasting along with nice mint air fresheners along with what smells like a pie cooking. "Wow mom! You're ready for the holidays already as well? You work fast." Izuku says happily, looking around the quaint house.
Slow playing classical music playing from the living room drew Tsuyu's attention towards that area. As she entered, she spots a music box on a shelf along with a small collection of tapes and records and even photographs. The music wasn't really calling to her as much as the photos were. In the photos were usually of Izuku's childhood. Him playing with a tiny blonde kid, presumably Katsuki when he was younger; Izuku holding a little box of an All Might action figure and wearing the costume as well.
"Oh, I'm sorry' were those just laying around?! I really tried my best to keep this place clean for when Izuku and guests visit!" Inko quickly rambled, causing Tsuyu to chuckle a bit.
"No no, Miss Midoriya. These were on the shelf. Sorry to give you a scare, ribbit." Tsuyu bows a bit and places the photos back.
Inko gives a sigh of relief and fixes her hair a bit, smiling at Tsuyu. Izuku watched them talk a bit and look around at photos, then went back to the kitchen to help set up lunch for them. "When should I tell her we're dating...? Does she already know? I hope she takes the news ok, heheh." He whispers to himself then started to set up the plates.
"So, not to sound rude, but why have you come along with Izuku? When he was younger, he never... really had much friends over, so this is kinda new, even though my baby's all grown up." Inko smiled softly, looking at Izuku set up the dining room table.
Tsuyu tried to avoid saying they're dating incase Izuku wanted to tell her as well so she just struggles to find words to say. "Oh um... I... uh..." luckily, Izuku happened to call both of them back to the dining room.
"Oh right! Coming Izuku!" Inko calls back, then winked at Tsuyu. "Well, whatever your reasons, you're welcome here anytime you'd like! I'd love the company every now and then." She laughs a bit then walks out of the room to the table, taking a seat at the end of the oak dinner table.
Tsuyu sighs a bit then walks to the table, taking a seat next to Izuku on the side. Izuku smilled at her then at his mother who was busy organizing her napkin into a neat triangle onto her lap. After doing so, she looked up at them both and gave them both a warm smile. "Now then you two, how long have you been back in Tokyo?" She inquires, keeping her smile.
"I never left. After graduation I stayed in my old home and my family moved over to The United States. I think it was for my fathers work or they were just curious on how that country looked. So i've been here, doing my hero work and living a "calm" life." Tsuyu speaks up, making sure to finish her bite of food before being asked another question.
"Well mom, you already know what i've been doing. Being the new soon-to-be symbol of peace is hard work. But since All for One's defeat, life's been simpler here. Not much crime, Yuuei has been taking in even more students I believe as well... Wait Tsu," he looks over a bit and puts a finger to his lip, "aren't your siblings wanting to be heroes?  Is there even a hero school in the United States?" Izuku tilts his head a bit at the question.
"I don't think so. Samidare, as skilled as he is, doesn't think he'd want to commit to that kind of life, even though it's so much more peaceful now." Tsuyu simply states, staring at Izuku's finger on his lip. "Also, you're doing my thing as well." She adds, placing her finger to her lip as well.
"O-oh, my bad, heheh." Izuku rubs his head then begins to eat his food.
Inko just smiled at the two then begins to eat as well. "Well, aren't you two just adorable. Izuku has good taste in friends." Inko compliments Tsuyu, who in return smiles back at Inko.
"Heh, yeah. We're pretty great friends, wouldn't you say, Izu?" Tsuyu states, her monotone voice picking up a bit.
Izuku just felt his face flush a bit and he nodded. "Y-yeah, r-really great friends." He eats a little quicker to distract himself from his red face.
Inko, with her motherly senses, picks up on a secret that they're hiding. Quickly, she scans their hands to not see any rings, but still smiles brightly, tears welting in her eyes. "Awwwww, my little baby has a girlfriennnnd!" She squeals like a fangirl and holds her hands to her cheeks.
Tsuyu and Izuku both choked on their food at the same time and stared at her with wide eyes. "M-mom! H-how d-did you figure that out?!" Izuku asked, surprise riddled in his voice.
"Did I make it obvious..?" Tsuyu adds, glancing down at the table with blush in her cheeks.
Inko just laughed a bit and wiped her eyes. "I know my Izuku. I know when he loves someone. Motherly instinct." Inko says, giving the blushing couple a victorious smirk.
"I could tell something was going on between you two the second I met you. But i never suspected it to be this! How long have you two been dating? Have you been on dates yet? Has Izuku treated you nicely? Are you two happy?" Inko began to do the Midroriya Mumble until Tsuyu laughed to snap her out of it.
"I can tell where Izuku gets the mumble from," saying this made both Inko and Izuku flush up a bit, "but besides that, we started dating last night after he brought me to the mall and to dinner. He's a very sweet man, always has been... and i'm very, very happy to be with him." In saying this, she holds his arm and rests into his neck, blushing slightly.
Izuku rested his hand on her arms and felt her rub against his neck happily. "Yeah, it's been two days pretty much but these two days have been the happiest of my life. Happier than the day I got accepted to Yuuei." He laughed a bit then rested his head on hers. "And, I do hope... hope we can continue making memories, right Tsuyu?"
She nods her head then slides her arms out of his, sitting back upright. She sticks the tip of her tongue out subconsciously as she starts to mess with her bracelet. Izuku helps his mother pick up the dishes and wash them, answering all the questions his mother is throwing out at him.
'Hope we can continue making memories...' This sentence was stuck in her head. Why? She doesn't quite know herself, but thinking of what he could mean by it makes her smile softly and begin to day dream about one of the possibilities.
"...u... Su... Tsu!" Tsuyu snapped out of her day dream, tongue still sticking out of her mouth a bit, by Izuku's grip on her shoulders.
"You ok...? Your tongue was... and still is sticking out and you seemed to have just blanked out." Izuku asked, a little bit of worry and humor in his voice.
Tsuyu quickly withdrew her tongue and nodded, holding his scarred hands with her soft ones. "Sorry, Izu. I was just... thinking of the future, honestly." A small smile grew on the edge of her lips.
Helping her stand up, Izuku turned her around gently and laughed quietly to himself. "Izuku? What're you doing?"
"Just... close your eyes... ok?" Izuku's voice trailed off as a faint rustle could be heard.
Tsuyu did what she was told and waited, her mind racing with what he could be doing. She sensed his arms go around her neck and could feel a small cold metal chain hang from her neck with something heavy on it. "Ok, open." He finally said, still standing behind her.
Tsuyu opened her eyes and glanced down at her neck. A silver necklace with a what looked to be a teal crystal heart hanging on it. She sits in silence for a bit and just holds the gem in her fingers, staring at it.
"O-oh, do you not l-like it? I-if so I can-"
"I love it, Izuku." She said bluntly, before turning around with a big smile. "I just feel bad for not really giving you back anything in return."
Izuku waved his hands in response and laughed nervously. "No no no! Don't worry about that! I don't really need anything from you! I'm just doing this because I love you ok?!" He quickly stammers then feels his face blow up.
He just told Tsuyu he loved her. Day 2. Immediate panic issued inside his mind. 'Oh no! I sounded too progressive! Was that forceful of me to say? Oh no I ruined everything didn't I?! She's just staring at me! I definitely made her uncomfortable! Oh god she's coming this way!' He tells himself as Tsuyu smiles softly then kisses his lips gently, catching the green haired tomato off guard.
Pulling back, she pats his cheek and sighs. "I love you too, Izu. But I guess that's what I can give you for everything you've done for me so far, hm?" Tsuyu says happily, hugging the still frozen Izuku.
"I-I-I Will accept this!" He says quickly, managing to hug her back, a little tightly to her surprise.
Unbeknownst to them both, Inko was recording the entire thing from the kitchen, internally squealing and trying to maintain her tears. "My little baby boy... all grown up and with an amazing woman. Ohhhh." She says quietly to herself then stops the recording, wiping a few tears and returns to the kitchen to finish cleaning up.
During this hugging, Izuku had an Idea. A potentially amazing idea for Christmas.
