Chapter 20 ~ The Start of Something Special

Yuju's POV

Han Seongsu, the Pledis CEO, and Park Jinyoung, the JYP CEO, both walked into the room with smiles on their faces.

"Hey guys!" Jinyoung smiled. "Have you all introduced each other to each other?"

"Sort of," Jeongyeon shrugged.

"Well then, let's introduce ourselves. You're going to be seeing a lot of each other these next few months anyways."

"Okay, sure," Seungcheol said. "Hi, I'm Seungcheol, but my stage name is S.Coups. I was born in 1995. I'm the oldest in SEVENTEEN, and the leader of my group."

"Hi, I'm Im Nayeon," Nayeon spoke up. "I'm the oldest in TWICE, but I'm not the leader. I was also born in 1995."

"Hi, I'm Yoon Jeonghan," Jeonghan smiled. "I'm the mother figure of SEVENTEEN, also born in 1995."

"I'm Yoo Jeongyeon," Jeongyeon introduced herself. "I was born in 1996, and I'm the mother of TWICE."

The introductions continued all the way through the other twenty of us and the CEOs smiled and nodded approvingly.

"I can see we have a good group of idols here," Seongsu smiled.

"Yes," Jinyoung agreed. "Now, the reason we have this collaboration is mostly to bring together two groups who debuted in 2015, and all of you are extremely talented, with Yuju and Jiyeon as a bonus. You guys should feel free to name your songs and compose them and write the lyrics, but the two of us CEOs have agreed to name the album 2015, the symbolize the unity of idols debuted in 2015."

"Furthermore," Seongsu continued. "Please make sure there are four songs and that there's a main title track because we do plan on filming one music video for this collaboration. We will be making two versions of the album and there will be concept photos. It has been decided that there will be couple photos, but Woozi and Dokyeom won't be a part of those. Moreover, we will take a huge group photo for the poster that the fans will get if they buy the album. Any questions?"

The room is silent.

"Well then," Jinyoung clears his throat. "It has been decided that it would be good for Woozi and Chaeyoung to write most of the lyrics, with help from Jeongyeon, Dahyun, Jihyo, S.Coups, Jeonghan, and Mingyu if needed. Please try to finish the songs by December — with all of you guys it shouldn't be a problem. We should try to finish this by February, which is when the album will come out. Moreover, the SVT performance team with Momo and Dahyun can choreograph a short dance section for the title track, okay?"

"Okay," Hoshi and Momo nodded.

"Well then, we'll leave you to it," the CEOs smiled. "Have fun!"

The two of them left, leaving the twenty-four of us there.

"Well this is awkward," Mingyu remarked.

We all burst out laughing at his silly comment.

"We should really be getting started now," Woozi smiled.

Woozi and Chaeyoung, along with their songwriting crew, huddled off into a small area to work on writing the lyrics for the four songs. The rest of us decided to simply hang out with each other and learn more about each other.

Jun, Tzuyu, and I, by the end of the day, had become pretty good friends. Also, while we went out in the hallway, I spotted a dance practice room with around ten trainees inside. Tzuyu opened the door and we walked in.

At the sight of the three of us, the trainees stopped dancing and bowed to the three of us, with their "hellos" and "his" echoing around the room. I caught a few squeals at the sight of Jun.

"Hello," I smiled. "I'm Yuju."

Jun introduced himself as well, and we talked to the trainees a little bit. I got to meet Jiayu, who was really nice and spent lots of time talking to Jun, because they were both comfortable speaking Chinese. I met the Korean-Australian trainee Lily, and ex-SIXTEEN contestant Chaeryoung, and so many other famous trainees.

We stepped back out of the dance practice room and walked back into the big dance room we had been in before. Somehow, Woozi and Chaeyoung had already finished one of the songs, "Hey!", which they said was going to be the title track. It was about a girl and boy meeting and falling in love instantly. The lyrics were really cute and happy, and they said it would be pretty upbeat. However, all of us would get a small amount of lines because we had to accommodate for twenty-four people.

Before we left, we had a group meeting to talk about the rest of the songs, the short choreography, and some of the lyrics.

"Chaeyoung and I had an idea," Woozi said. "We decided that two songs, including the title track will have all twenty-four of us in it. The other two songs will have us be split. One will be soft and melodic, in which the SEVENTEEN vocal team, along with Jihyo, Mina, Tzuyu, Yuju, and Jun will sing. The other will be more powerful with a rap style, in which the SEVENTEEN hiphop team, along with Dino, Minghao, Jiyeon, Hoshi, Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Dahyun, Chaeyoung, Momo, and Sana will sing. For the rap parts, we'd like most of the rappers to write them, is that okay?"

"Yes sir," Dokyeom saluted, and we all laughed.

"For 'Hey!' the chorus doesn't have much singing," Chaeyoung explained. "That can be the part where we have the dance, and once we compose the song and everyone finishes recording, Hoshi and Momo can begin creating the choreography. But please, don't torture us with dance practice, okay? And also don't make it too hard, and yes I'm talking to both of you."

Hoshi and Momo shot glares at Woozi and Chaeyoung, who both giggled.

"Okay then, we'll see each other tomorrow," Wonwoo said. "And for the next few months. I can't wait to see how this will turn out!"

"Neither can I," Tzuyu agreed.

"Let's have a small cheer," Jihyo suggested.

"Okay," Seungkwan said. "1, 2, 3..."
"FIGHTING!" we all yelled and cheered.

At the end, we were exhausted, and I glanced at the clock. It was eleven at night. We said our farewells to TWICE and headed back to the dorm. I quickly showered and got ready for bed. I smiled as I looked up to the ceiling and closed my eyes.

I knew it would be a good start to something special.
