Hoshi's POV (before Mingyu asked Yuju)
We were backstage, ready to go out for the red carpet. I waited for my bandmates to finish getting ready.
I looked to my right and saw Mingyu and Jiyeon in hushed whispers. Somewhat curious about what they were talking about, I walked closer to them. I quickly turned on my phone and recorded their conversation. I didn't expect it to be anything bad, but it still looked suspicious.
"Good job Mingyu, everything is going according to plan," Jiyeon whispered.
"Yes, now I have Yuju. I just have to ask her now. Thanks for taking care of Jun."
"Thanks for getting rid of Yuju. Now let's go. We don't want people to suspect anything."
"Yeah, Bye."
I was shocked.
So the reason why Mingyu and Yuju went to the coffee shop wasn't just to get coffee for everyone. Mingyu was trying to lure Yuju into a trap to make her get mad at Jun when Jiyeon kissed him. And then that would cause Mingyu to comfort her and then Yuju would fall in love with Mingyu.
I ran over to Minghao and Dino.
"What is it hyung?" Dino asked.
I quickly relayed the conversation of Mingyu and Jiyeon to Minghao and Dino.
"Jun's innocent," Minghao said. "I'm trying to prove that."
"I am too," I said.
"I will too." Dino said.
"The second Mingyu asks her, we're going to stop him. We, the performance team, are going to help Jun no matter what." Minghao said.
"FIGHTING!"
Yuju's POV
"Wait What?" I said confused, at the same time Jeonghan yelled, "WHAT?!"
"We have proof," Dino said.
"We?"
"The rest of the performance team decided to investigate to try and prove Jun innocent," Minghao explained. "And we have."
"Clearly in the picture you can see that it was Jiyeon who kissed Jun, not the other way around," Hoshi said.
"And also, why would Jun even do that?" Dino asked.
"He always says how much he loves you," Minghao said.
Really? I thought to myself. I covered my face as a smile creeped on my lips.
"And today, before the Golden Disk Awards, I heard Mingyu and Jiyeon speaking together. And oddly enough, I had my phone and recorded their conversation." Hoshi said.
Hoshi played the conversation off his phone. I listened carefully and saw that he was right. It was all a ploy to make me dump Jun so that Mingyu could have me and that Jiyeon could have Jun.
"KIM MINGYU!" Jeonghan yelled.
"Jeonghan calm down," Seungcheol said.
"Seungcheol just let him be. He's probably really pissed," Jisoo said.
"WHY THE HECK DID YOU DO THAT? AND YOU TOO Jiyeon! YOU GUYS ARE SO MEAN I CANT EVEN WITH YOU TWO. YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED," Jeonghan yelled.
"Hyung, I—" Mingyu got cut off.
"Don't even talk to me." Jeonghan said.
I felt a tear roll down my face. I really missed Jun. And all of this was happening.
Jeonghan refused to talk to Mingyu and went to his room. Seungcheol and Jisoo followed him. Everyone else split up, all kind of shocked from what happened.
That left me and Jun.
"Jun I'm so sorry. I just—"
Jun wrapped me in a big hug. I felt relieved as I was in his embrace.
"It's okay. I still love you," Jun smiled.
"Thanks," I looked up at him.
His soft hands placed the silver heart necklace around my neck as he fingered with the clasp. It clasped together. I smiled as I looked at the inscription again. Love.
We went into my room and started talking. He told me he was always so busy because they needed to continuously practice Swimming Fool and Jam Jam for the tour. I was quite relieved that it wasn't for another reason.
While we were still talking, someone knocked on the door.
"Jun?"
It was Jeonghan.
"Come in," Jun said.
Jeonghan walked into the room. His eyes met Jun's.
"Jun, I'm sorry I punched you earlier. I just thought that—"
Jun cut him off by giving him a hug.
"Hyung it's okay. I get why you did that. And I don't think this is the problem right now. What are we going to do about Mingyu?"
Jeonghan sucked in a breath.
"Well uh, I'm sort of giving him the silent treatment," Jeonghan explained.
"And Jiyeon?" Jun asked.
"I don't even know what to do with her," Jeonghan sighed.
"Let's deal with this tomorrow," I cut in. "I'm tired."
"Okay then," Jeonghan said. "Good night Yuju! Good night Jun!"
I curled up into a little ball on my bed and Jun layed next to me.
"I kind of feel bad for Mingyu," I said out of the blue.
"Why?" Jun asked. "He did all of that crap to you."
"Well I've known Jeonghan Oppa longer than anyone here, and when he gets mad you do not want to be anywhere near me. Believe me. I accidentally broke one of his toys when he was ten and I was seven. He yelled at me and I started crying. He didn't talk to me for two months."
"Woah. I had no idea. He's normally so chill."
"Yeah."
"So you're saying if Jeonghan refuses to talk to Mingyu for this long then..."
"This whole situation may have just teared a whole in the heart of SEVENTEEN."
