There was this little girl dressed in red
She's so kind, patient, always looking ahead
But she always had this paper bag over her head

Her friends always asked,
"Mary, Mary, take off that paper bag!
We want to see your face, even for a tad!"
Yet Mary never wanted to be unmasked
She knew she was never up to the task

"I look like a monster." She spoke
But her friends considered so as a joke

So one afternoon, the girl was resting against a tree
Her friends crept up to her filled with curiosity and glee
They pulled off the paper bag then screamed
For the sight is more horrendous than they could have ever dreamed

So Mary was chased away by her friends with fear
When she was cornered and pushed off a cliff
One final word filled her with tears

MONSTER
