Chapter 23

As soon as I got home I locked the door and ran up to my room, and dove into the warm covers. I shut my eyes and tried not to cry. I was so close to him.... And he just let me go. He didn't do anything.

"Babe....?" A disoriented voice softly called out.

I poked my head up from under the covers to see Ross starting to sit up, confused. "Hey.... Shhh just go back to bed. I'm sorry for waking you up."

"What's wrong.... Why are you up? It's-" he took a long pause. "5am...."

"Sorry..... I just...." I couldn't think of what to say. I couldn't think of a lie.... I couldn't tell him what actually happened. No way....

His warm arms wrapped around me and his head nuzzled into my neck. "I love you so much."

"What...."

"You're the most important thing in my life. And I'm so happy your here."

Ross never really gets into feelings.... Ever. And for him to say that.... "I love you more Rossy."

"Do you believe in love at first sight?"

"I don't know.... Do you?"

"I didn't. Until I saw you."

I laughed. "Did you watch a romance movie today?"

"No I'm serious." His grip got tighter. "The moment I saw you.... You were so different. I've never felt that before. for anyone. And I wanted to get to know you and get to be with you and call you mine.... But I didn't think you'd like me.... And that scared me. So I kinda force my way into your life and I'm sorry.... But I really wanna be apart of it."

"I love you."

"You better missy."

"Anything else you wanna talk about?"

He was silent for a while. "can we have kids?"

I laughed. "You're tired. Go to bed."

He mumbled something and within minutes we were both asleep.

The next morning I woke up in Ross' arms. He was already up but was looking blankly at the walls. I gave him a kiss and I could feel his lips curling In to a smile. "Mmmm morning to you too."

I giggled and sat up. "What's the plan for today?"

"I was thinking we could spend a day together. Ya know.... Just us." He smirked.

"Mmmmm I guess that would be okaaaaay."

"You guess? You'll love it."

I laughed and got up. I grabbed some clothes and went to the bathroom. I brushed my hair and left it curly. I then put on black tights with black high waisted shorts, a cropped black and white top with a sleeveless jacket.

I did my make up and then went downstairs to get something to eat. Jack was already busy with banana pancakes. I sat down and he passed me a plate.

"Morningggg!" He yelled knocking several pans off the counter.

I flinched and laughed. "Have a good night?"

He smiled. "Yeah. Hope showed me cats cradle."

I laughed and felt a tug on my shorts. Hope was standing next to me, rubbing her eyes with crazy hair. I laughed. "When was the last time someone brushed your hair?"

She frowned. "UHM....." She held up 7 fingers. "8 days."

I put another finger of hers up. "Tell ya what. When I get home we can do whatever you want." I smiled, lifting her up into my lap. She started to eat my pancakes and swing her feet.
